CA CA - Los Angeles Co., Wht/HispFem UP7573, AsianMale UP7571, Angeles Forest, Dec'09

The main thing that raises doubts is her age (15), well below the estimate for the UID (20 - 40).

Unless it's her mom/Sol's wife. They probably look enough alike, and I wonder if the killer buried them near each other subconsciously, as married couples usually are buried together.

What months were the two kids born? Did they ever have a miscarriage or a child die in infancy? Just thinking about the jewelry containing birthstones.

EDIT:

Elaine was 39 according to Charley project, so she is within the age range.

EDIT #2:

The daughter was born in August - assuming it is the correct info, my theory about birthstones is incorrect.

Hello All,
My name is Sagi Salomon, I am Sol Salomon's nephew. As a child I grew up with the colorful life of investigations and trials. I am afraid I am out of the loop on any new information pertaining to my family. Was any more information given on the skeletal finds? I saw that only Michelle's photo was to be had, but I have the photos of the rest of my family (Uncle, Aunt, Cousins). Please help me out if you can on any new information.

If you have photos of Sol, Elaine, and Mitchel, (or any additional photos of Michalle) you should e-mail them to Meaghan Goode of the Charley Project at the following e-mail address:

goodmeaghan@gmail.com

These three should have visibility to their cases, as well as Michalle.

To answer your question, the limited info about the two skulls provided to me by Daniel Machian was all recounted here.

Did Elaine resemble the woman depicted in facial reconstruction of the female skull?

Thank You For Your Help,
Facial reconstruction is not an exact science. A lot of times they don't get major areas of the face together. For example Michelle has some facial chubbiness as you can tell which the artist would never know that by looking at the skull in itself.

Bump - Any more info. on the male skull?

I have a missing person here in Kern Co. He has been missing since 07/09, and he is only listed on the KCSD site. I will ask if he had any jewelry on when he went missing...TIA

Bump - Still wondering about the male skull. Any news? My missing person has a thread in the missing/located forum. Nathan Guerra, from Bks. Ca. There is some speculation about gang membership, and the astro's charts leans towards death. I asked the family member yesterday in a PM about jewelry...Thanks for any info.

The last time I spoke with Daniel Machian (a couple of weeks ago on a separate issue), I asked him about this case. He says that he has several possibles that he is working on, but no answers (yes or no) on any of them. I think that his possibles are for the female though.

There hasn't been as much publicity on the male, primarily because they are unable to do a facial reconstruction on that skull. All I know about the male (aside from what is in the news articles) is that the skull was not intact enough for them to be able to do a facial reconstruction.

Here are a couple of Asian Males missing from the vicinity of La Cañada where the Angeles Crest Highway begins (on the L.A. basin side).

No new ruleouts for the woman. She has dentals and DNA, and the description indicates all four pieces of jewelry were hers. She's 20 to 40 and possibly hispanic. https://identifyus.org/en/cases/7573

No ruleouts for the man. He has DNA, with dentals entered elsewhere. He's estimated to be about 5'6" but if it's just a skull that has to be basically a guess. https://identifyus.org/en/cases/7571

I think it is worth keeping an open mind on the rings being children's birthstone rings. If this were the case:

Ruby = July
Emerald = May
Sapphire = September

Agree, this was my first thought when I saw the rings. The red stones could also be garnets, which are for January birthdays. Here are images of the jewelry, in case the site with the photos is taken down in the future.
