CA - Possible kidnapping caught on video, Corona, Nov 2004

A while back there was a kidnapping of an adult female caught on tape outside of a casino or mall, some place public but not a Target or wal-mart type store. I think it was in Las Vegas and I remember the footage being on the news but no one ever came forward to report a missing person. I remember the car pulling up and a man shoving the woman in the trunk or back seat of a light colored car someone else was driving the car, I think. Sorry I know this is very vague. but I was thinking about this woman today. I was wondering if they ever figured out who she was, or if it was a twisted prank or what.

No that's not it but interesting. I know this abduction was caught on tape and they were trying to find out who the victim was Thanks though

I really think I remember that..it was really grainy video if I remember right. Not terribly long ago. I'm going to try to remember.

I think your right about the video being grainy, and I think it was in the past 1 year maybe 18 months. I have done so many google searches on this I am probably on some sort of watch list.

I remember seeing a grainy video of a woman walking through a parking lot at night and she was pulled into a car. She was seen from the back. The video was of poor quality and there was a very bright lot light in the back of the picture. You could not tell much about the woman except she was slight and had long or long-ish hair. The car just looked dark because the video was so bad.

Is this the one you mean? I'll see if I can find anything as well.

I think it seemed dark because the area was covered like a parking garage maybe but yes it did appear dark. I am pretty sure the one I am thinking of had the abduction more to the upper left side of the screen as you look at it but not too far off center. I also remember something light colored in the video but I am unsure if it was a light or paint on the pavement. Not much help am I? I just remember the police asking for the publics help in ID'ing her. You're right though they could not pull much of a description from the video

LOL, that was funny. I don't want to know what google or the gov't thinks of MY google search list. If I ever committed a crime and it was presented at trial I'd be in big trouble I think! "But, but, it was because I was looking up info for crimes I read about on WS!!!" LOCK HER UP!

My latest search was "differences between asphyxiation and suffocation". :p

I remember two cases, Spaz. One where a girl was taken from her apartment building and the video was grainy; and one where a young woman walked out with an older man from a casino building and she was never seen again. I think he's on trial. I think the other case was solved too, but don't remember if it was an ex-bf or what....

Sorry if that's not much help!

There was one - from the LA area maybe 2 years ago.. It was caught on tape- I thought it was coming out of a Wal-MArt. Security guard came out to try and help and it shpws a male subject pushing the female into his vehicle and driving off.. It was hard to see and at the time they were unable to ID her or the vehicle. There was thread on it when it happened... I never heard any updates...

I am going to try and search around, but I think there were two different videos. I believe one of them was at a Wal-Mart where a teenage girl was shown being grabbed and shoved in a car. It was later determined that it was a group of teenagers on a scavenger hunt or something similar.

I do remeber the other one as well. I believe that was a mall parking garage. I remember the news stations asking for witnesses or if anyone knew of someone missing. I don't recall anyone coming forward on that, but I will look around.

It was in Los Angeles, I thought, outside a shopping mall.....I think it just faded away because no one came forward to report a missing woman. I guess it was a prank. I HOPE it was a prank.

It showed the girl walking by, then a guy runs up grabs her and throws her in the trunk, the car rushes off.

Now you've got me curious!

Is this it?

When a black Toyota Solara raced up and braked, the woman looked over her shoulder at the car and took off running with the vehicle in pursuit.Despite the fuzzy taped images, the woman can be seen running down a parking aisle as two men jump out of the Solara and chase her. One man threw the woman over his shoulder, carried her back to the car and put her in the trunk, which the other man had opened.
A security guard at the mall heard the woman yelling for someone to call the police as she was being stuffed in the trunk, Jurado said.

That's the one I was thinking of. Good work Gina. I looked at the old thread. Doesn't look like anything ever came of it.

Not sure if this is the case Spazkat is looking for. He/she thought it was Vegas and a light colored car.

I remember the local news out here (and possibly the local LE) ended up thinking it was a prank. They still wanted people to come forward to clear everything up but it looks like they never did.

Well guys as hard as it is to fathom that's not it. I am sure the woman was on the left side of the screen and was shoved in the passenger side or trunk from the passenger side, but thanks for everyone's hard work.
