morning Lurkey:) I was watching the live covereage and posted it on the last thread... but the reporter said they blocked the entrance to the park and were only letting residents in with ID.. no visitors.

The reporter also said there were two groups of LE... one was huddled at the front by the people standing outside (vigil attendants) and the other went off to search a home but the reporter did not know which home.

Hope that helped.

Preacherman lives on the backside on orange street... so from the front where he was reporting he wouldn't be able to see it (if that was the home that was searched)

2) If you do a Google search for the church's address (11000 W. Clover Rd Tracy, CA) you can see it in street view. there's a long rancho style building and a smaller building -- possibly the shed in question?

Oh I feel for Sandra's mother. I cna't even imagine her pain, her guilt and her anger.

First of all - how incredibly scary! Do we know if was it uncovered as part of this investigation, or was it an ongoing investigation that was sped up because of Sandra's disappearance?

Second - while it's a possibility I tend to believe she wouldn't have been found so close to home. I think they would have hustled her out of town pretty quickly given the focus of LE.

Although I do have to say the luggage / Microtel connection is compelling. No reason to suspect someone loading a big heavy suitcase.

That said, my suspicion is heavily on the "preacherman" right now.

I'm sorry to cause confusion...I was talking about the 3:30 presser where they said the family would be making a statement. They did not appear in that presser to talk but only gave a letter to the detective, I don't think they would ahve been allowed on that scene. The 8:40 presser clearly showed some family members, they left quickly and did not speak. I don't know exactly who they were.

It was reported that LE went to the church's shed and the article described it as the actual crime scene. If this changed, I am not aware of it. So it isn't really a theory.
 
I'm sad to hear that Sandra's mother was taken to the hospital, it's almost strange to see a parent react normally after what we've seen recently.

I'm pretty sure that if something happened to one of my kids, I would have to be taken to a hospital, too.

We brought this up early on and speculated that the child porners were not really known and it was this case that actually led LE to the "ring." The LE public info officer was actually quoted in one of the local papers about these 60 perverts!

How rediculous is this??? Makes a person really want to scream. I firmly believe it was the child *advertiser censored* that had LE obtaining search warrants in the beginning of this case.

I am getting ticked off at the national news as they are not covering this at all. I have only caught one blurb this morning (missed the one on MSNBC).

on the last thread we were discussing how the church would tie in to the case/why it was searched. Post two here I bumped... elepher put all the info together...
 
Salem, you could be right...except those men would have been arrested immediately which to my knowledge they were not. They did have to either have probable cause or permission to get the SWs and take the vehicles...so I am thinking definitely probable cause. It could be unrelated to this case, however.
