.Abdulbasir Faizi, 47, was last seen leaving his workplace on Kitimat Road in Mississauga at approximately 7 p.m. He called his wife and told her he was going out with a co-worker.
He was driving his 2002 Nissan, which was found abandoned seven days later in the area of St. Clair Avenue and Mount Pleasant Road in Toronto. Its discovery did not help police find Faizi.
Peels 21 Division detectives say they have conducted an extensive investigation in the time since he vanished, but have been unable to find him
Two years ago, Toronto police said his disappearance could be linked to two other men who have gone missing in the Church Street/Wellesley Street East area of Toronto, commonly known as Torontos Gay Village.
Police said they had determined his last known location was at an establishment in that area.
rbbmFaizi is described as Middle Eastern, 5-foot-9, weighing approximately 175 pounds at the time of his disappearance and had black hair with a black goatee. He was last seen wearing a brown winter jacket, a black T-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.
