This doesn't look good for Ann Marie - apparently there is a hiking trail near the area of where Blackhead Road and Maddox Road intersect. I have looked at it on satellite photos and there is nothing there. Highly doubt that Ann Marie made it from Kilbride to this area all by herself on foot. The police are saying they are searching in that area for a reason but not disclosing what the reason is.

Rumor ... stressing rumor here is that the 1 year old son has been placed into protective custody so somebody knows something ... rumor and no link to back this up.

One would think that the baby's daddy and Ann Marie's live-in would have a picture of her missing poster on his facebook page but nada ... nope.

Aug 23, 2010 | The ground search continues in a wooded area in the community of Blackhead for 32-year-old Ann Marie Shirran, who has been missing for more than a month. Police have confirmed that there is a reason why they’re searching this area, but won’t yet say what that reason is. NTV’s Pam Parsons reports.

There is way more to this story than what is being reported - the family is relatively quiet and things just do not "look right" to me. All my opinion of course.

Ann Marie's body has been found by some campers about 1.5 hours drive from Kilbride on the coastal route 10 in a place called Cappahayden.

A man was arrested this morning for the murder of Ann Marie Shirran. No official identity given as yet for who was arrested.

Ann's sister has noted that the boyfriend has been arrested (the baby's daddy)

David Folker was arrested at 10:30 am this morning for the murder of Ann-Marie Shirran......

I bolded that statement because it leaves open the question of whether she left her baby alone in the house when she went out that night. If she did leave the baby alone, then she might have been in a very depressed or reckless state of mind. On the other hand, are we sure she stepped out voluntarily?

Hi Bratislava,

Apparently nobody but the live-in boyfriend (and baby's daddy) saw her leave that night at 10pm and the boyfriend is being charged with the murder of Ann Marie this morning in a St. John's courthouse.

My opinion is that she didn't step out voluntarily as her body was found about a 1.5 hour drive from her home on coastal route 10 in the south-east part of the province. I shudder to think that baby Moses was either left alone for 3 hours in the house or actually was taken on the 3 hour round trip drive to dispose of his momma's body. Either way it is horrific.

David Folker, 39, was officially charged on Tuesday with the second-degree murder of his girlfriend Ann Marie Shirran.

Mr. Folker, who appeared in provincial court in St. John’s, is also charged with performing an indignity to a human body.
