Cecila's parents were in the midst of organizing a 10th birthday party for their little girl for this Tuesday with the community and Cecila's school & teachers.

Isn't it ironic that she came home to them 3 days before? They are still planning on marking this day ~ I am so sorry Cecilia was found dead, but I am happy she was found. - not knowing had to be way worse.

I agree, the not knowing would make me go insane. Never any closure, nightmares... Geesh, this is maddening :furious:

My heart & prayers go out to her family. Their little angel in heaven will see them again one day. How sad.

So sad, she was taken from her home, her bed similar to Elizabeth Smart last October. Her body was found by hikers yesterday. It's not the resolution anyone wanted, but at least, eventually, there will be closure for her family.

As far as I've heard there are no leads/suspects as of yet.
 
It was to be a day commemorating the 10th birthday of a bright and loving child, but instead of birthday cards and candles the home of slain schoolgirl Cecilia Zhang was turned Tuesday into a shrine honouring her memory.

Forensic investigators combing the area where Cecilia Zhang's remains were found are expected to finish their work today. The task of hunting for her killer or killers is now in the hands of a joint task force led by Peel Region police.

Another child was found today North of Toronto. A boy missing since December
 
Only skeletal remains of 9-year-old Cecilia Zhang have been found — according to police statements.

Police aren't saying what they found in a Mississauga wooded area, along with her remains, to revive an investigation that began six months ago when she disappeared from her parents' home.

The new lead officer in the investigation into the abduction and murder of Cecilia Zhang says he's confident police will find the nine-year-old's killer.

Doyle........that's amazing....the amount of money that was raised. I am so glad....Cecilia was a beautiful little child and I'm so happy that this money was given to such good causes! God Bless her little soul.........

This is such great news... I feel so bad for this little girl and her family.

Thanks for the updates... can't wait for the official announcement.
 
Please keep us informed. I live in NJ and had not heard about this case. I hope those scumbs rot.
 
I must say I am very impressed with the detectives handling Cecilia's case. They have had quite a bit of information from the get go and not released it, for fear of jeapordizing this investigation.

This is something we speak of all the time, too much information being released too soon can jeapordize getting someone back, or in the case someone has done harm to them, getting justice.

It has now come to light that two calls were made to the family from phone booths. Fingerprints were lifted.

The family rented rooms to students. Took some time, but they eventually checked all former tenants....till they got a match, two matches it seems.

I pray their silence will mean a strong and sure case.
I doubt they would have arrested anyone, without solid proof.

A 21 year old Chinese student from Shanghi living in the Toronto area was arrested and charged with 1st degree murder.

The second person of interest is not named yet and is a WOMAN! :eek:
