CANADA Canada - Shelley Loder, 44, Mono, 7 Dec 2010

Hi all --
I'm not sure if someone has posted this already, but I came across this site when searching for updates on Shelley's case:

http://www.wayn.com/profiles/shelleyrobb

The profile name is Shelley Robb, but the description seems to be for Shelley Loder from Orangeville. The space appears to be a social-travel network --
do any of you have ideas on this? Perhaps it is not important. But I wondered IF this IS Shelley from before her attack if she was a member for the travel perks/info and might have met someone on the site? Could someone have misunderstood her membership there?

Perhaps this is not the same SL.
But, wow, we need some ideas here. It is awful that Shelley's attack is still not solved.

I've read that Shelly and her husband moved to Orangeville (and she is now retired from photography :(), so that page seems to fit. Couldn't help but notice the fellow who gave her a "Like".

BTW, i did send in a tip on the other guy who was a real look-alike. Didn't get any acknowledgement, but that's okay. I see he's moved out of area, but the only pics he has on his twitter account are pics from Bolton.

I haven't followed Shelly's case all that closely but I thought I would bring over some information from the Audrey Gleave case so that those of you here might see if anything connects.

I was browsing for a connection to the AG case and I came across this:

http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/n...-moved-to-wellington-charged-with-atte/nWxbf/

http://www.andrewdstine.com/blog-78/636-charged-with-attempting-to-engage-minor-in-sex.aspx

http://www.jailbase.com/en/arrested/fl-bso/2013-03-22/jonathan-vanstone-901300278

Well, it so happens that this individual is most likely related to someone who was close to AG.

This is his facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/jonathan.vanstone

He seems to be involved in the horse "trade"; possibly as a stable hand and frequents/frequented a lot of the areas where SL's case took place. One of our other sleuthers also posted his mugshot beside the composite sketch for SL's case and there does seem to be some resemblance.

I just thought it might be of interest to those of you with more knowledge about Shelly's case.

Does anyone know where Shelley went to school? High School or higher? I think she grew up in Acton but I've never read anything about where she studied.

I keep talking to myself in here but...Did Shelley perhaps know this woman:

http://ca.linkedin.com/pub/amber-williams/54/518/6b9

If so, there are a few other interesting connections that are of interest to Shelley's case...

What about "same" link, same name, but .../31/698/81 (photographer)?
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Would you shorthand tell us some connections?
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Does somebody know JV's (mugshot) profession/career??

If you click back on the link you provided, the name is Shelly Loder.
Good Job Soccermom.

Thanks, DW! But I'm not sure (how) the info helps. Hopefully LE is pursuing all sorts of angles in Shelley's case, including several leads suggested here. It's so hard, isn't it, that we have so little info on Shelley's case? No media updates, no LE pressers on "anniversary" dates of the assault indicating status of the investigation (unless I have been missing these?). I hope in Shelley's case, as I do for all, that LE has more behind the scenes than we know. I couldn't say that's my belief but it is my fervent hope.

HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL - Don't hold your breath, I say. I doubt if this will ever be solved - unless he attacks again, and is literally caught in the act.
How's that for being pessimistic?
Same goes for Sonia who made it on the unsolved OPP website with a $50,000 reward being offered. To my mind, it usually spells the end of the line.
Sigh - I wish I felt differently.

Wow ...... this thread is creepy. I thought for sure there was a resemblence between the sketch and photo of John V. Is this the man that other Websleuthers mentioned had committed a murder at 13 ? And the same guy that police were informed about ?

DW, I understand your frustration. lol, sigh: I do have to hope that there will be justice in these women's cases -- the alternative is too overwhelming. But I agree it is hard with so much silence.
SheSheCanada: Welcome to the thread (I'm not a regular here, myself, but since it's late at night I'll just take it upon myself to greet you as if I were :) ). The man you reference above has NOT, to my knowledge, been named a suspect in any of these cases by media or LE and while I'm not sure to whom you're referring in relation to murder at 13 I feel certain this is not the same person.

Thanks for the welcome :)
I was referring to post 16 and on including one by poochiewoo after post 16. I'm on my phone so I cant include the post or post it.

Surveillance video released in 2010 unsolved murder case (S. Varaschin)

Ontario Provincial Police have released a surveillence video from a park in Orangeville to try to identify two people they say could be witnesses in the unsolved murder of a local woman.

Sonia Varaschin was reported missing four years ago on Aug. 30, 2010 after she failed to show up for work. Her body was found days later in a wooded area on Grange Side Road in Caledon.

Police say it's believed the 42-year-old nurse was murdered in her home on Spring Street, and have said her car and home were stained with blood.

Because we don't know whether the cases are linked or not, here the latest news for having food for thinking ...

It was a good idea to post that link here FromGermany.

FromGermany - Thanks for posting this! I can't believe that this video was withheld for four years? Why? It shows virtually nothing of value today but could have been quite meaningful back then. Who knows? On a positive note, at least someone is still working on Sonia's case and that's good. Maybe it will resuscitate Shelly Loder's and Audrey Gleave's cases as well!

Quoting my own quote - Sorry but WTF? The police issues the 4-year old video and then NOTHING?

Very poor PR. (Biting my hands.)

So sorry for Sonia and the family here…

ETA - Thinking and hoping for resolution on Shelley and Audrey's cases as well. Silence there too. Nada. NOTHING.
