Kasandra has apparently been located and was the female body found in Lake Ontario in a garbage bag in late May of this year. The body was found at the end of Yonge Street and Queen's Quay (ferry dock area?). I just heard on the radio about a news conference scheduled for 1:30 today (in a few minutes). Poor girl! RIP Kassandra.

The video stream is for another Toronto case right now, not sure when the one for Kasandra will begin. So who did this to her? Obviously it's a homicide if she was found in a garbage bag, GMAB.

The title of the article says dismembered but LE stated in the presser that she was not dismembered.

But they've said they're quite sure it's Bolduc because of tattoos on her body.

Bolduc had a heart tattoo between the thumb and index finger on her left hand with a poorly-drawn "K" in it. She also had a tattoo on her right abdomen and a tattoo on her upper thigh.

"At a news conference, Det.-Sgt. Ian McArthur, of 14 Division, said that after a post-mortem examination, the cause of death is officially “undetermined” while awaiting toxicology test results.

“We have now exhausted all our investigative avenues,” McArthur said, asking the public for help. “At this point our investigation has stalled.”

That dead end leaves little clue as to how Bolduc went from an animal lover who “saw the world through rose-coloured glasses” to floating in the lake.

Bolduc, whom friends called Kandy, was born to Colleen Dunn and Alain Bolduc on Jan. 10, 1991. She grew up primarily with her grandfather in Elliot Lake, Watts said.

“She just wanted to be everyone’s friend,” Watts remembered of her childlike pal. But it often got her into trouble. “They took advantage of her because she was such a nice girl. And she kind of always had a hard time with that.”

At 18, Bolduc gave birth to a little girl of her own. She posted dozens of pictures of her in pretty, frilly dresses on Facebook. But Watts said Bolduc got addicted to crack, causing her to lose custody of her daughter — something she spoke of openly online.

Watts said Bolduc had tried to get clean, but another loss sent her over the edge.

“Her grandfather passed away and she didn’t take it very well … He basically raised her,” Watts said. “She kinda just moved down to Toronto, I guess just to start fresh.”

This reminds me somewhat of the unsolved case of Simone Sandler, whose body was found in the lake with a garbage bag around her throat..

In Toronto, Bolduc was believed to have hung out around Moss Park, a rough area frequented by prostitutes, according to Toronto street pastor Doug Johnson Hatlem.

He said people he works with on the street knew Bolduc and described her hanging around a housing complex at 251 Sherbourne St. Watts said she’d heard Bolduc would frequent the Shuter and Jarvis Sts. area nearby. Police say her last known address was within the downtown 14 Division".
