Caylee Memorial 2-10-2009 #2

I think whether gum chewing is inappropriate or not is a cultural thing that varies throughout the nation.

I don't think it has any baring on the who the A's are.

I know a lot of people around here that wouldn't be sane if they didn't have gum to chew.

Sorry, but I don't know of anyone that would speak at a public memorial televised on national TV with a mouth full of gum. Who does that??
KC was chomping down when in handcuffs while being escorted to jail after being arrested on a murder chg.
Cindy was chomping down while in the court-rm while doing some sort of weird touchy thing with her hand to her mouth.

It's rude and annoying. I have been known to ask a person to spit their gum out before talking to me.

After reflecting on the events of the memorial and reviewing the videos, I feel very differently about what transpired. I think it was another opportunity for the family to honor Casey more than Caylee. Why is it that I feel hoodwinked by the Anthony's over and over again?

Magnolia~ I agree with you...my children aren't allowed to chew gum...I hate it...BUT...in some cultures it is not seen as rude...to me...yes...to you...yes...but I have known someone from another culture to chew gum while preaching. Did I want to tell them to spit it out yes, but the fact remained...THEY did NOT see it as rude.

In other words I don't think the A's were deliberately being rude...culturally inept...possibly...unaware of social morals...probably...offensive to some...obviously.

I feel that way about toothpicks. What could be more nasty than picking one's teeth in public? Ewwwwww!!!!

The memorial event will be an interesting part of the book.
After all the whining about how mistreated the whole family has been, this chapter will be their: HOW WE GOT BACK AT THE PUBLIC.
The public expected a funeral later with Caylee's remains present.
Ha, ha, the joke was on the public.
Caylee's remains WERE there with no funeral to be held later.
This part of Cindy's book will be a hoot.
All my opinion and fantasizing of course.
