What a mysterious case! So the car was found, probably ditched right? If he did something to her, how did he flee the ditched car location? On foot? Public transit? Friend? Or did something happen to both of them from an outsider????
As with all cases now, there's nothing coming out. From the motels at the Longmont exit, the shuttle to DIA (airport) would be the major and most obvious mode of transportation if someone wanted to leave the area. That's why it puzzles me, that they mentioned the CBI and not the FBI.

A body was found this morning in a ravine off of U.S. Highway 36 in Larimer County near the Boulder County line.
The sheriff's office does not believe this body pertains to any previous open investigation

Metro Intelligence Agencys General Manager, James Allbee, has been contacted with several media inquires, the status of Kathy Adams family and if any further information can be provided.
I have spoken to the family in great depth, as well as with the Larimer County Sheriffs office regarding this matter. We all remained hopeful that Kathy would be found alive but all indications lead us to expect the worst outcome. The worst was confirmed this weekend. The family does not feel that they are in immediate danger but remain cautious. The specific details to the case remain minimal, as this remains an ongoing investigation.
Although we are grateful that Kathy has been found, we are all very deeply saddened and angered beyond words that her life has been lost at the hands of such a vicious attack. The family wants to bring her home and put her to rest with her parents and other sister. We remain hopeful that the person responsible for this heartless act will be brought to justice and held accountable with the final judgment left to God.

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office said the warrant was issued for John Marks Jr. "based on evidence gathered since the disappearance of Kathy Adams."

They've had plenty of time to process both the car and the area where she was found as possible crime scenes. I hope they lock him up soon.
This guy went from POI to warrant for arrest in a pretty short time, and I think he's still in the area, because they never involved the FBI.

On October 29, 2010, at 6:10 PM, John Marks, Jr. was taken into custody by Larimer County Sheriffs Office investigators in the 4000 block of Clydesdale Parkway in Loveland. He was arrested without incident

Marks will be booked in the Larimer County Detention Center later tonight. A booking photo will not be available until Saturday, October 30, 2010.
Sheriff Alderden would like to express his appreciation to Major Coleman and the rest of the investigative team for the hundreds of hours and dedicated effort. Larimer County Sheriffs Office would also like to thank the public and the media for their assistance during this investigation.
No further information will be released nor will any interviews be given as the investigation is continuing.

Affidavit: Psychic's Husband Cut Out Carpet, Cleaned Up Blood

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- A missing Larimer County woman was likely killed in her bedroom and then wrapped in a blanket and duct tape, according to court documents obtained by 7NEWS.
Kathy Adams' body was found on the side of Highway 36 near Pinewood Springs on Oct. 23, 13 days after she was reported missing.
Court documents indicate that investigators found broken glass at the back door of her house at 920 1/2 East Mulberry when they went to check on her welfare on Oct. 10. When they entered the house, they didnt find anyone inside, but they did find an 8-foot by 10-foot section of carpet had been cut out and removed from one of the bedrooms.
The documents also state that investigators smelled a strong odor of bleach and found what appeared to be a blood spatter on a closet door in the same room.
After finding no one home, they left the house and contacted Adams' sister, Diane, who told them that Kathy had a very tumultuous relationship with her common-law husband, John Marks, Jr.
Diane said the last time she spoke with Kathy was on Oct. 7.
She said at that time Kathy told her she was going to leave Marks and asked for help getting to Georgia.
According to the arrest affidavit, Kathy's niece, Tammy Adams, told investigators that she was on the phone with Kathy on Oct. 8, when Marks came home. Tammy told investigators that Kathy attempted to hang up quickly, but before she did, Tammy heard Marks yell, Im going to *advertiser censored**ing kill you. What the *advertiser censored** are you doing?
Authorities obtained a search warrant for the home and investigators performed forensic tests designed to illuminate trace amounts of blood.
They said the tests revealed areas where blood was cleaned up with a towel or rag. It revealed the presence of blood around the washing machine and around some sink drains.
