Amish Grace (2010) (TV)

When a gunman killed five Amish children and injured five others in a Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania schoolhouse shooting in October of 2006, the world media attention rapidly turned from the tragic events to the extraordinary forgiveness demonstrated by the Amish community. Through the eyes of a grieving mother, Ida Graber, and other devastated families, this movie explores the Amish's astonishing reaction to the horrific shootings - of forgiveness and compassion.

I just checked and was pleased to see that LMN is not airing the originally scheduled movie "Amish Grace" (about a school shooting) at this time. I hoped that programmers would think better of this in light of today's horrific tragedy.

Dark Minds creator and investigative journalist M. William Phelps has a personal connection in that he grew up in the area and knew White’s family. He said that this episode is one of the most, if not the most, emotional one of the season.
