ALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Police are searching for a missing man in a Wallingford park Tuesday morning.

Police are swarming the Tyler Mill Preserve looking for 30-year-old Luc Pentz-Tholennar, of Wallingford. His family reported him missing Monday night. His ex-girlfriend tells News 8 that he was dealing with the normal stresses of life and that it would not be unusual for him to take a few days alone. But this time he didn’t tell anyone and that’s why they’re worried.

Police Actively Searching for Missing Man in Wallingford



Pentz-Tholennar's car was found at the Tyler Mill Preserve, which is a 1,000-acre area with bike trails, streams, woods, rivers and open fields.

Police attempted to track Pentz-Tholennar's phone and the last ping came from the preserve area, but the device is not our of power or has been turned off. Police said Pentz-Tholennar might be on foot and they are concerned for his safety.

Pentz-Tholennar lives in the area and is the "outdoorsy" type, a big trail runner, hiker and biker, according to friends.

His friend, Victoria Pelka, told us that he went to Choate & Quinnipiac. He has rowed at Riverfront Recapture in Hartford and is passionate about the community garden in Wallingford – “The community garden in Wallingford was actually going to be shut down. He saved it and brought it back to life and has kept it growing.”
