Details of Disappearance
Miller lived with her mother in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 1992. Her mother described her as a naive, trusting individual with some learning disabilities. Miller's mother stated her daughter's behavior changed a few months prior to her disappearance and she thinks she may have become involved with drugs.

In the fall of 1992, Miller had an argument with her mother and went to stay with her boyfriend at the Academy Apartments in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. She was last seen on October 24, 1992, when she, her boyfriend and his nephew got into a vehicle en route to Williamsport. They were riding in a dilapidated brown/maroon 1982 Datsun 210. She has never been heard from again.

Although Miller and her mother weren't getting along in 1992, she was still close to her siblings and her family doesn't believe she would have left without telling them. They reported her missing after a month passed without them hearing from her.

Authorities believe Miller was the victim of a homicide. The police interviewed her boyfriend about her disappearance in 2008, and he denied having harmed her. About six months after the interview, he took his own life.

The boyfriend's nephew claimed at one point that Miller had been murdered and actually led investigators to the supposed burial site, but no human remains were found there and the nephew now refuses to cooperate with the investigation.

Miller's disappearance remains unsolved.

Since her boyfriend had been an OTR truck driver and he visited her suspected burial spot several times, could hebhave dug her up and took her on the truck and he dispose of her body in another state, location?

Dawn Marie Miller has been missing since Oct. 24, 1992.
She's described as a slight 5'4" with long dark brown hair and brown eyes. Miller had a slight speech impediment and overlapping front teeth.

Dawn's mother, Sandy Northern, says her daughter was a quiet, shy little girl who turned into a beautiful young lady that is difficult to describe in just a few words.

Childhood image of Dawn Miller.
Miller was last seen leaving the Academy Apartment in Bellefonte, Centre County with two men, including her boyfriend. The men had been drinking, but they told Dawn they were going to take her home to Williamsport to pick up some clothes.

"As [Dawn] got older, she had trouble fitting in and she struggled," said Northern. "She trusted too easily."

The trio left in a 1982 Datsun 210 station wagon.

"When she disappeared, we were all devastated and really have never been the same," Northern continued.

Dawn was 22 when she went missing. Today, she would be 52 years old

From information on The Charley Project.

Authorities believe Miller was the victim of a homicide. The police interviewed Emel about her disappearance in 2008, and he denied having harmed her. About six months after the interview, he took his own life.

Emel's nephew claimed at one point that Miller had been murdered; he said he'd seen his uncle kill Miller and that both of them buried Miller's body. He actually led investigators to the supposed burial site in the vicinity of the Jacksonville Quarry, and cadaver-sniffing dogs alerted at the spot, but no human remains were found there and the nephew now refuses to cooperate with the investigation.

I wonder why the nephew stopped cooperating? He seemed to want to provide useful info at one time..

everything is very clear in this case... here the problem is the nephew who knows the truth wanted to mislead the investigators by giving the wrong place to look for his remains and then regretted cooperating... very suspicious to say the least... I hope one day the nephew's heart will soften and he will tell the truth since the uncle already died due to cowardice...
either way
rest in peace
