WOW! WASN'T THERE SOME missing time after Shawn picked up Billie from work the day Hailey was reported missing. Supposedly, they were out buying pills? Didn;t Haileys brother say he came home from school and Sean had a "deer in the headlights look" on his face? NOW THE MAP SHOWS THAT THE AREA where the body was found is just off the highway from the route to Billies work!!! OMG!!!:jail:

I raised my girls in the country and a small town school, just like this area around Ira, Snyder, Colorado City etc. These kids don't have anywhere "fun" to go. It's too far to Abilene, Midland, Lubbock so they have to make their own fun. Most of the time this is just a place for kids to gather and sit on the tailgate of their pick ups and maybe drink a little beer or "whatever". They are usually playing music from their cars and just being kids. I don't see one of them going missing and no one reporting them gone. What I see is a popular place to hang out.

I find it hard to belive teens would go to an area where snakes are reported to be prevelant. JMO

The day before that,, Shawn picked Billie up from work, they drew out $ from the ATM for some drugs, Hailey was playing with her brother on the Xbox and then he left to go spend the night at a friends. Is this right?

Reading all that again is just chilling.......and incredibly sad for Hailey.

You would be surprised at the stupid places small town teens go to party. Here in Aspermont, growing up we hung out at our lake which is nothing more than a mudhole, under an old bridge on a back road, our airport, and abandoned houses. Having a 17 year old son now, I see they still party in the same places we did. No one evr worries about snakes at that age.

Rattlesnakes are everywhere in the area. We don't let it keep us from doing things. We just watch were we walk. Anywhere you go here, you are likely to run into a snake.

Good question. I'm guessing it depends on where they think the crime was committed - which is probably at the house in CC.

By the way, how many of you actually think this will change things - as in, bring charges? I'm not so sure. There have been trials/arrests without bodies before which makes me think if they had enough to proceed, then they would have done so already. I have a feeling things won't really change, even if this is Hailey.

In Texas, no body is hard to prove murder. The only successful one that I remember is when Scott Dunn (no relation to Hailey) was murdered in Lubbock. They charged his girlfriend and her lover for his murder without a body. The evidence was the amount of blood found in the apartment was more than a human can lose and still survive. They were both found guilty but didn't have to serve very many years. In fact, they found his body a few months ago, 25 years later. Only a month before one of the two charged was to be released.

I have my hunches that LE knows, and has known for a long time, who is responsible. But their hands are tied without proof that will hold up in a Grand Jury. Praying for justice!

I always wondered why he went to work that day. It seemed to be to be for an alibi during that time frame. And then to go to his mom's.....to have a reason for the pings on his phone in that area? But is he smart enough to think along those lines in covering his tracks????

Sorry to quote myself but I remembered something else. He said he stopped at his grandmother's house in Dunn and knocked on her door for awhile but no on answered. Am I remembering that correctly? I call bogus on that. He was explaining why it took him so long to get to Big Spring. Because he was possibly disposing of Hailey along the way and needed a reason for lost time. And that would be in the vicinity of the route he would've taken from Snyder to Big Spring, in the case of cell phone pings.

Just trying to decide where knocking on grandma's door fits in the timeline or in his story if he did in fact take Billie to work. (<-- I just recently learned of this on here...).

Oh I think they knew from Day One. Well, maybe Day Two or Three -- after SA's story didn't pan out and they decided she wasn't a runaway. Those first few days were maddening to follow. :banghead:

I always found it odd the coworker was never publicly named, you'd think in the less formal chats on BTR shows she'd say, "I rang Jane" or something similar.

Obviously LE MUST know this. She would have had to provide a name to them. While I agree with SmoothOperator 100%, I wonder if the coworker even knew they were part of her timeline. Did several people who gave her lifts assume it was someone else that morning? Did only LE know who was the fake lift?? Would it be better with a volatile potentially murderous colleague to just keep your mouth shut on this ambiguity?

What BD said at various times is not relevant, because we know her stories change all the time.

What is relevant is what LE stated in their affidavits for the search warrants, specifically:

1) "Records and interviews of witnesses indicate Billie Dunn left the residence.....at approximately 6.20am"

In other words LE would have spoken to this person and confirmed that is indeed what happened. There are also the "records", which I asume is phone records, to support that. Anything else BD is coming up with is revisionist.

In any case, SA could not have been in CC, by virtue of evidence gathered from his place of work, in time to pick her up to take her to work.

Also, when she showed up for work (assuming she showed up on time) SA was near CC, so wrong place.

Basically the latest story she has supposedly claimed cannot be true based on facts we allready know.

Does anyone have a theory on motive? I initially thought the Shawn may have been abusing Hailey. But then I wondered why Billie would cover for him. Does anyone think she was given drugs and died as a result, so they covered their tracks by making it look like a kidnapping? I hope forensics can be done to determine if there were any drugs in her system. I realize there is no soft tissue at this point, but in hair and nails it can be detected, right? Or does it have to be large amounts in order to be detected?

What someone thinks might be a motive is irrelevant, they would have to present compelling evidence for that in court, just coming up with a hypothesis is not enough.

I think SA had his way with Hailey with BD's full knowledge. I think she may have even been offered to him...

But here is the issue regarding Shawn, pings, and would he or would he not be knowledgeable enough to think about pings, etc..

The big issue for me has always been that yes, he absolutely was aware of his phone's tracking abilities and its exactly why his cell phone drops off the face of the earth for a BIG CHUNK OF TIME and then randomly comes back on later all the way at momma's in Big Spring..

MOO IS THIS IS THE BLOCK OF TIME, AFTER SHAWN DROPPED BILLIE OFF AT HER WORK, THAT HE DISPOSED OF HAILEY'S BODY AND JUST SO HAPPENS TO BE THE BLOCK OF TIME HIS PHONE DROPS OFF THE RADAR FOR A GOOD CHUNK OF TIME.. ONLY TO REAPPEAR BACK ON IN BIG SPRING ONCE AT MOMMA'S..HIS ALIBI..
