DNA results on an actual BigFoot

The DNA came back: one test showed human... another test on a different sample from "bigfoot" showed opossum!!!! Can we all say it together: this bigfoot is a... HOAX. :D

Oh, so they didn't need DNA from a relative to compare it to?

Maybe it was actually PossumMan...Like Virginia's legendary BunnyMan. Or West Virginia's MothMan.
Maybe Batman's lesser-known cousin? :D

before everyone condemns bigfoot forever after this latest hoax is over....(and im convinced it is a hoax)....it should be noted that there was in the past a giant ape called gigantopithecus, and it lived in regions where bigfoots are spottted. The one in the photo is a museum replica.

cheers

****************************************

Gigantopithecus was a rival of *advertiser censored* Erectus and lived during the Pleistocene Epoch, 1.8 million to 100,000 years ago. The body and teeth of Gigantopithecus resembled a gorilla but it stood nine feet tall and weighed 600 lbs.

Gigantopithecus became extinct around 300,000 years ago, but Chinese scientists believe that some form of the beast exists as the so-called Yeti, or Abominable Snowman.
Others believe another form of Gigantopithecus exists in the Northwest United States and is called Bigfoot. It is theorized that the predecessor of man (*advertiser censored* erectus) preyed on Gigantopithecus.

It would be so cool if a previously unknown species or one that was thought extinct was discovered. Maybe they could be lured out with bananas.

Shucks! I thought this was more info on the "Yeti" hair being tested.

"Yeti's Hair Defies DNA Analysis

BRITISH scientists on the trail of the Yeti have found some of the best evidence yet for the existence of the mythical Himalayan creature — a sample of hair that has proved impossible to identify.
Genetic tests on the hair, which was gathered from a tree in Bhutan, have failed to match its DNA to that of another animal. The findings, which have surprised sceptical researchers, raise the strong possibility that the sample belongs to an as yet undiscovered species."

Oh dear... seems the perps of this hoax ran off and is nowhere to be found... nor is the money that Biscardi, the Bigfoot guy, gave them for the right to take it to the media and such. Mr. Biscardi sent down one of his bigfoot detectives to check it out. And what did the thing turn out to be? a rubber suit. LMAO

Bigfoot was wearing a rubber suit? That clever rascal. No wonder we can't catch him.
:)

I would like to respectfully point out that the odds of a 10 ft gigantopithecus living alongside humans for 1 million years virtually undetected is infinitismally small.

LOL!

Bet he's not laughin'....

Clayton Cop Fired Over Bigfoot Hoax

*snip

By Sunday the ice was melting and the bigfoot story was starting to fall apart.

"I observed the foot which looked unnatural, reached in and confirmed it was a rubber foot," said Steve Kulls executive director of Squatchdetective.com in a press release. "Later that day, both Matthew Whitton and Ricky Dyer admitted it was a costume."

Kulls claims that Whitton and Dyer were paid an undisclosed amount of money for their find by Searching For Bigfoot, Inc. He said that the two men have disappeared since the hoax was discovered.

On Tuesday, Clayton County Police Chief Jeff Turner said he has not spoken to Whitton but processed paperwork to fire him.

"Once he perpetrated a fraud, that goes into his credibility and integrity," Turner said. "He has violated the duty of a police officer."

Why did they do this? Did they really think it would work??? Some people are really 'stuck on stupid'. LOL
