FL FL - Kevin McGrath, 26, missing from a cruise ship, Miami, 4 Sept 2023

Here is another:

There's another dad out there who believes his son is till alive after watching him jump off the boat a week ago because his dad was angry he was so drunk.

It would be very difficult to accept that searching for your child was ending. You have to really consider what it would be like to be experiencing this. A lot of people would hope for a miracle for quite awhile. These families need empathy.

My oldest is a Master Diver and has life saving skills should they be needed. So maybe that is what the father is referring to? But that means nothing when you’re in the middle of the ocean, without any dive equipment or tanks.

Sure, he had the skill to keep himself afloat for hours, provided he survived the splash down and wasn’t under the influence of anything.

The family needs that hope for their own grief processing at this point.
