If you look up Mary KELLEY on LDS you will find there's a lady born on 10 Feb 1936 ( i'm English I don't know how records are kept in the states) who was issued with a social security number in Georgia and I assume died in Florida. The date of death was given as june'79, maybe LE have to wait to issue a death cert ?? I don't know how it works with you but this might help.

I belive I may have found a 1964 marriage records for Mary Lue Kelly.

The husband Albert Bubba Johnson may have been the family member Mary Lue Kelly went to Florida to visit.

Did they ever find her paternal family? The 1940 census is now available but I don't have a subscription to Ancestry. A quick online search didn't pull up anything obvious.
