Authorities in Florida are calling a former Virginia law-enforcement officer a "person of interest" in the killings of his wife and teenage son, whose bodies were found in their home near West Palm Beach.
Jamie Daniel Jr., a former Louisa County deputy and University of Virginia police officer, has been in a mental-health facility since a few hours before his wife, Renay, 49, and son, Sebree, 17, were found dead in their house Friday. Both suffered multiple gunshot wounds, authorities said.
