Jury foreman: "Thank you, your honor, for being patient with us." He has been sitting separate from rest of the jury in box since yesterday.

That is never a good sign.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are adjourned til 9:45 a.m. Monday. #SeanTaylor

I didn't stick with this trial, I just couldn't get into it. WAT kept tweeting all the trouble with the feed, so it made me feel better at not watching.

Sounds like a confused jury for sure. Why would the foreperson sit so far away from the rest? Do they not like each other?

That's second-degree murder without possession of a firearm. Also guilty of burglary with an assault or battery while armed

A judge on Thursday afternoon will sentence the young man convicted of murdering former University of Miami football star Sean Taylor during a botched burglary in Palmetto Bay.

Eric Rivera Jr., 23, of Ft. Myers, could face up to life in prison.

Jurors in November convicted Rivera of second-degree murder for the November 2007 slaying of Taylor, the Washington Redskins star safety who starred at UM and Gulliver Preparatory School.

A man identified by prosecutors as the greedy organizer of a bungled 2007 Miami-area burglary that ended with the fatal shooting of Washington Redskins star Sean Taylor was convicted Tuesday of murder and burglary, and immediately sentenced to life in prison without parole.

A 12-person jury deliberated nearly four hours before finding Jason Mitchell, 25, guilty of first-degree felony murder and armed burglary. Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Dennis Murphy swiftly imposed the mandatory life sentence for murder, plus 40 more years for the burglary conviction.

Although trial testimony showed Mitchell did not fire the fatal shot, prosecutors say he is equally responsible for the slaying under the law.

A fourth man has been convicted in the 2007 shooting death of Washington Redskins star safety Sean Taylor during a botched burglary.

A judge immediately sentenced 25-year-old Charles Wardlow to 30 years in prison after he pleaded guilty Wednesday. Wardlow was among a group from the Fort Myers area accused of traveling to Miami to steal money from Taylor's home, believing he was out of town...

One defendant awaits trial.
