Miramar police have not named him as a suspect in his wife's disappearance.

"We're looking at anyone, and he is no more or less a suspect than anyone else," Miramar Police Spokeswoman Tania Rues said Tuesday.

In court April 6, a Broward Sheriff's investigator with child protective services called Cid Torrez "a person of interest" during an emergency shelter hearing for the couple's three kids &#8212;V, 12, C, 7 and M, 4 &#8212; when a judge ordered that the children live with their maternal grandmother, Gladys Blanco, in Hialeah.

Cid Torrez, 38, who works for a dry ice company, has not been arrested.

The home of a missing Miramar woman, a car registered to her husband and a vehicle registered to her have been searched by police, according to documents filed in court.

The home of a missing Miramar woman, her van and a car registered to her husband were searched by police, according to documents filed in court Monday.

"He is considered a person of interest, and foul play is suspected in her disappearance," Miramar Police spokewoman Tania Rues said about Cid Torrez. "However, detectives are still thoroughly investigating all possible scenarios."

The attorney for Cid Torrez, Alvin Entin, told the Sun Sentinel on April 6 that police had searched his client's car and the family's home.

Search warrant inventories indicate authorities removed 28 items from the couple's home along the 12900 block of Southwest 28th Court, including bricks from a flower bed, bathroom towels and female shorts with possible blood stains.

A Sunpass was among contents seized by police from her gold 2006 Toyota Sienna van. A bible and paint scapings were removed from his white 2009 Jaguar.

A judge has denied the estranged husband of a missing South Florida woman custody of their three small children, citing that he is a 'person of interest' in her disappearance.

General Magistrate Giuseppina Miranda ordered that little ****, 12, ****., 7, and *****, 4, stay with their mother's family and ordered their father to stop making unsupervised contact with them in court yesterday.

Police believe foul play was involved in 38-year-old Vilet Torrez's disappearance earlier this month and her husband Cid may have very well been a part of it.
