....Boumeddiene was born on June 26, 1988, one of seven children, in Villiers-sur-Marne outside Paris. Her mother died when she was just six and her father, Mohamed Boumeddiene, a delivery driver, had difficulty looking after his family. Along with several of her siblings, Hayat was placed in foster care when she was about eight or nine

The couple lived for some time together in a flat in Bagneux, a Paris suburb, and Coulibaly moved back in there with her after he was released from jail last year.

Interviewed by police in 2010, Boumeddiene reportedly said she had accompanied Coulibaly and Kouachi on two occasions to visit Djamel Beghal, a radical preacher under house arrest in the Cantal in southern France

....according to Le Parisien lost her job as a supermarket cashier because she insisted on wearing the full Islamic niqab, told police in her 2010 interview that she had not attended her own wedding ceremony: “In Islam, the woman is not obliged to be present. My father represented me.”

She was also doubtful about true extent of her husband’s faith. “Amedy isn’t really very religious,” Le Monde quoted her as telling police. “He likes having fun. He’s not the sort to walk around all the time in Muslim attire. Men should usually go to the mosque to pray on Fridays but Amedy goes … I should say once every three weeks.”

Michel Catellano

Catellano uses the word "polite" to describe Hebdo suspect gunmen. Confirms to me that he treated the wound of one while he was being held.

Catellano: "when I saw them I thought my life was going to end..but they weren't aggressive."

Catellano says gunmen told him to go upstairs for safety before they opened fire on police. They told him "don't worry you will be fine".

Catellano says he told gunmen 3 times he was alone, was terrified they would find the colleague he had hidden upstairs

Catellano says most difficult moment was when gunmen let him go yet he had to leave hidden Lilian Lapere, his friend, upstairs.

of the magazine. And I have no issue with any criticism of the content-that's what speech is for, to argue ideas. What I can't countenance is the idea that their ideas should be surpressed to avoid offense of a particular group.

Code:
The magazine exists in an anti-clerical press tradition that is as French as Champagne, one that advocates for a France that is resolutely secular and skeptical....Charlie Hebdo acts aggressively on the idea that nothing is sacred. “It is forbidden to forbid,” after all.

Yes I agree with that ideology too, so we bowed to the pressure before the massacre by the looks, and now we shall be defiant, perhaps that is the only way to defeat it after all, to show we shall not be defeated, no matter what.

There is so much on this subject to understand.

Turkish LE are reviewing video footage at the airport because they're investigating that upon arrival the females trip to Syria may have been pre-arranged thus she may have been escorted, at some point, by identifiable jihadis, hopefully. There is no sign of her in Turkey as they've been tracing her steps since Friday. This is a very rough translation from here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc03SlMY3vA

London’s plans to show solidarity with Paris tomorrow:

In a tribute that will coincide with the rallies across France, London landmarks including Tower Bridge and Trafalgar Square will display the colours of the French Tricolore national flag from 4pm.

Tower Bridge will display the flag’s colours from 4pm until 5.30pm, after which the bridge will go dark, while the emblem will also be projected on to the National Gallery.

The Trafalgar Square fountains will rotate the colours of the French national flag, while the London Eye will go dark with the red, white and blue projected on to County Hall behind it.

Solidarity ralleys in support of France also planned in many other cities such as San Francisco, New York and Tel Aviv (according to friends).

SBM

Notice that she and the two brothers were all placed in state care of one type or another?

I guess it makes them easier to recruit than people from solid family backgrounds.

They kill their own children so they will have no problem killing ours.

In Nigeria, New Boko Haram Suicide Bomber Tactic: ‘It’s a Little Girl’

DAKAR, Senegal — A girl perhaps no more than 10 years old detonated powerful explosives concealed under her veil at a crowded northern Nigeria market on Saturday, killing as many as 20 people and wounding many more.

But the use of a child to kill — witnesses, police officials, a top hospital official in Maiduguri and local vigilantes all agreed that the bomber was very young — may be unprecedented in the insurgency.

“It’s a little girl,” said the hospital official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the delicacy of his position. “The body is beyond recognition, but from the face you can see it’s a young person. A young pretty girl.”

Poor baby. A child soldier who may have been trying to save her family by killing other people. There is nothing those monsters won't stoop to.
No, they would have no problem killing our children.

As I start to research this, all of this-beliefs, how isolated are the radicals, how well do the immigrants assimilate, etc., I am frankly astonished by a lot of what I find. Things that are simply ignored by the media and politicians. Is it political correctness? I don't know, but we need to start dealing with reality. We cannot ignore this any longer. From what I read, the current generation being raised is the most radical and these are people being raised in our western countries. And, for the record, Islam, it doesn't mean peace, it means "submission".

In the UK, Islam is projected to be the dominant religion within the next 50 years. The Muslim Brotherhood has funded a majority of the mosques in the west. This includes the US. See the stats below which show the number of mosques that have texts advocating violence. The Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization. This was all discussed in a 1991 memo, 1991! http://www.clarionproject.org/analysis/muslim-brotherhood-founded-50-mosques-west#

A 1991 U.S. Muslim Brotherhood memo discusses how the group established a network of front organizations in America for “unifying and directing Muslims’ efforts” under an “an effective and a stable Islamic Movement led by the Muslim Brotherhood.”..The struggle that followed is encapsulated in this 2004 Chicago Tribune story about Islamists taking control of the Mosque Foundation in Bridgeview, Illinois. A 2003 St. Petersburg Times article also reports on the Islamist challenges for the leaderships of mosques in Florida, California, Illinois, Texas and Arizona.

The Brotherhood’s purpose, as stated in the 1991 memo, is to wage “a kind of grand jihad, in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers…”

This isn't about not liking Muslims or being an Islamaphobe. But it is about education. I feel like I am almost completely ignorant about all this. I thought only fringe kooks wooried about "the Muslims". There's a prominant Imam in the UK who I just learned about-Anjem Choudary. Read about him-he's all over the media, Twitter etc, no attempt to hide his beliefs which include (all from his Twitter stream): (Oh, and he wrote an Op-ed for USA Today this past week.)

In the war between the camp of Islam & that of Kufr there can only be one eventual victor. Allah has promised victory to the true believers!

The solution for the problems in France is to bring back Shari'ah, under which Muslims, Christians & Jews lived peacefully for over 800 yrs!

Allah created our Eyes to see, our Ears to hear & our Tongue to speak so there is nothing called freedom of Sight or of Hearing or of Speech

The Messenger Muhammad (saw) said: "The day of judgement will not come until a group from my Unmah conquer Rome!"

If Muslims in Europe called for Islam to be the law & order shallow minded people would soon forget the burqa, minaret & halal food

We must not feel any resistance or feel bad in any way when implementing the penal code of Islam; like for eg cutting the hand of the thief

There is no ruling in Islam which disagrees with the nature of humans from men being allowed 4 wives to removing regimes to impose Shari'ah!

The polling results I've been reading are a huge surprise to me. And this is what people will admit. I assume at least some people want to hide their feelings.

And what are Muslims in the US being taught?

Terrorism Research Institute Study: 51% of mosques in the U.S. have texts on site rated as severely advocating violence; 30% have texts rated as moderately advocating violence; and 19% have no violent texts at all.

I found all this very eye-opening. I have no idea what to do about it. There's alot I don't know. But I am going to start learning. I have children and thus a responsibility to ensure the type of country I am leaving to them is the same as I the one I safely enjoyed. I do feel all our western countries need to band together and address this.

Well, if I was in charge, they would all get shipped back to crazy land and let them sort things out on their own.

Oh my. So this poor kid is the one we kept hearing had "surrendered?"

Was there even a third participant? And if so, where the hell is he/she?

Good question, we have gone from five, three , two terrorists in the Charlie attack, there was also declaration from witnesses having seen two men dressed in black enter the Charlie building, this conflicts with the images of the execution of the police officer..........

I'm finding some of the images that came in the immediate response to the murders compelling. I hope it's OK to share some with you.
Mods please let me know if they should be removed.
Thanks.

"I would rather die standing than live on my knees": French editor and cartoonist Stephane Charbonnier.

I wonder if the terrorists would be thinking the same thing...........

Keep em coming, far as I'm concerned, but I'm not a mod (include links). It's history in the making. Sleuthing how France comes through.
