As I said earlier, it is about 20-25 miles east of Wild Bills, so I dont think he walked....so sad ( and I wasn't trying to sound like a smarty pants, sorry if I did)

Maybe, based on the "more than a week, less than a month" theory from the detective, this may be the missing person...

I"m keeping an eye on this thread.
Based on the time frame from LE, sounds as if this may very well be the missing UPS employee.
Hoping for closure for someone...so they can begin healing.

I hope the single print they were able to lift leads to his identity.
I also am thankful for the two people who reported it. The one had a warrant out for his arrest in an unrelated crime (not sure what it was for) most people if they know they have a warrant for their arrest stear clear of the police. At least he had the decency to do what was right and reported it.

Does anyone else think it may be one of serial killer Gary Michael Hilton's victims? It's in his area of killing.. Also being that hikers found the body and Gary Hilton was an avid hiker.. There's whole threads related to him in the other forum.

Well, the detective says the body had been there more than a week, less than a month, so that would seem to rule out GH.....Still waiting to hear the id of this poor person.

A forensic artist with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab has reconstructed the face of a man whose body was found burned in woods behind a home east of Winder in late November.
The GBI posted a picture on the agency's Web site, gbi.georgia.gov, of how agents think the man looked, though they have yet to identify the victim.
Investigators say the man was Hispanic and between 20 and 40 years old.
Scientists couldn't estimate his height, weight, eye color or hair color, but the model has brown eyes and black hair.

Missing from Hopkins, South Carolina on April 3rd?
I don't know if it is just the position of the recontruction but the nose and lips do look similar.
What does everyone else think?

I think the shape of the jaw line up to his ear matches on the left side of glen's. I cant really tell about the other side.

Law enforcement authorities have recently discovered the identity of a man found dead Nov. 16, 2008, in the woods behind a vacant house at 998 Atlanta Highway in Barrow County.
The deceased is Salvador Chavez, 46, from Gwinnett County.
A specialist with the Georgia Bureau Investigation positively identified Chavez from fingerprint records. Officials from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Barrow County Sheriff’s Office, and Barrow Coroner’s Office have been diligently pursuing this case since the discovery of the body.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who knew Salvador Chavez to come forward and speak with investigators. Anyone with information should call the Criminal Investigations Division of the Sheriff’s Office at (770) 307-3080, ext. 3083.
