Jessica is still missing

Missing mother Jessica Dietzel turns 22, as leads fizzle after 5 months

Jessica was last seen in Albany, and Albany Police, Dougherty County Sheriff, and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office are investigating her disappearance.

Albany’s Police Chief Michael Persley said “Don’t think that we’ve given up.”

He said it’s possible that people APD have already questioned in the case, could be in the hot seat again for additional questioning about Jessica’s disappearance.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office told us they get information regularly but nothing credible.

A member of their Special Victims Unit told us “we would be eternally grateful for one honest tip.”

Anyone with any information on Jessica Vanzant Dietzel’s whereabouts should contact the Albany Police Department 229-431-2100 or the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at 229-759-6012.

@mlhenn
Your right, it's to quiet.....
JMO the person responsible for Jessica's sudden disappearance and that I (MOO) think knows of her location is most likely already incarcerated, on other charges.

Charges Not brought against him regarding Jessica as of yet.

I think he is playing the system. I doubt he will confess. Good Police work needs to find Justice for Jessie!!!
His current charges are no where near what he could face if they get that piece of evidence needed to nail his butt.

Jessica's family has not given up.
I hope this case is solved and Jessica is given the dignity she deserves.

If you can't find the light " BE the LIGHT"

Albany Police said new evidence is pushing the case forward.

[...]

“We’ve identified some additional people who we need to interview. We’ve gone back and interviewed people. Others we’ve interviewed multiple times but with this new information it allows us to look at things from a different angle." said Albany Police Chief Michael Persley.

Although Chief Persley couldn’t elaborate on what the new evidence is, he said it gives APD new questions to ask and some new places to search.

[...]

"Nothing concrete that we have at this time to bring closure. We still need people to open up and be honest,” Persley added.

Chief Persley said this newfound evidence could have been brought to police a long time ago and the truth is out there.

“Somebody knows something," Persley said.

[...]

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is also investigating Jessica’s disappearance.

They told us they are seeking a few more people to interview.

Makes me think they think she is deceased

Jessica Vanzant Dietzel, a 21-year-old mother, who had been living in Leesburg, Georgia, was last in contact with her family in mid-February. She was last seen around the same time in the area of Albany, Georgia near the Flint River. There has been no activity on her social media or bank account. Deputy Daniel Alday with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office told Dateline there is no concrete date of when exactly Jessica disappeared, but they believe it’s in the time frame between February 16 and March 1. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the Albany Police Department (APD) are working jointly on the case because Jessica lived in Lee County but was last seen in Albany, which is in Dougherty County. APD authorities were informed that Jessica had been planning to visit someone who lives in a tent near Radium Springs Road next to the Flint River in Albany. Officers went to the location and interviewed several people, but have not found any evidence of Jessica. There were other possible sightings of Jessica in February, but nothing that has led authorities to her location. In early March, authorities, along with the community, conducted a search for Jessica in a wooded area near the Flint River. The family is offering a cash reward for anyone who has tips that lead to Jessica’s whereabouts. Albany Police Department Spokesperson Phyllis Banks told Dateline they are also doing everything they can to find Jessica, but there have been no updates. Jessica is described as being 5’7”, 150 pounds with green eyes and long, straight blonde hair. It is unknown what color, style or type of clothing Jessica was wearing when she was last seen. The name “Elena” is tattooed on her left upper chest near her collar bone. She has a nose ring in her right nostril, and a stud immediately below her lower right lip. Anyone with any information on Jessica’s whereabouts is asked to call the Albany Police Department 229-431-2100, the Albany Area Crime Stoppers at 229-436-TIPS or the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at 229-759-6012.
