Prosecutors file suit to freeze Andrea Sneiderman's funds

The DeKalb County District Attorney's Office filed a civil lawsuit on Friday, intending to cut Sneiderman off from her fortune. Court documents state that four of Sneiderman's bank accounts total $2.3 million.

The civil lawsuit argues that since Sneiderman is charged with helping plan her husband, rusty's murder, she should not be able to the millions that his death brought her.

Yep, the prosecution let her talk and talk and talk some more.
I don't know how long she was on the stand, and I'm sure the defense also questioned her.
She said she did not try to call Rusty.
If someone told me my husband had an accident, the first think I would do is call him.
She called Rusty's dad and told him Rusty had been shot.
How can she know that?
She said she did not find out what happened to him till she got to the hospital.


I don't know of you've seen this 20/20 episode "Dunwoody daycare murder".
Great to watch it of you're interested in this case.

This article has a different spin on it. Says they want life in prison if she is convicted BUT lots of blame for LE for not looking at evidence when the crime happened, thus a lot of damning evidence lost.

"The DeKalb County District Attorney’s office Monday notified a judge that it would seek life in prison for Andrea Sneiderman, if she is convicted on charges of conspiring to have her husband murdered, racketeering and insurance fraud.
But whether DA Robert James has the evidence to warrant such a conviction remains to be seen. New information shows much of the evidence against the murder victim’s widow may be lost forever.

The reason? Dunwoody Police Chief Billy Grogan never suspected Andrea Sneiderman was involved in her husband Rusty’s murder on November 18, 2010."

Here's a bit more information about the Dunwoody LE foul-up with Andrea.

Andrea Sneiderman mentioned Hemy Neuman to detectives the day after the murder, when asked if anyone had tried to hit on her or break up her marriage.

Detectives did not seek out Neuman to interview him.

"Well, if you could go back in time, immediately when we'd had his name, we'd have went and talked to him, but that's hindsight," said Grogan.

As part of the court filing, the ethics of Andrea’s parents in assuming custody of the grandchildren is challenged on the basis that Andrea’s brother, Todd Greenberg, according to the document, participated in erasing material from Andrea’s personal computer prior to the Dunwoody Police being able to examine it.

and this link it says quotation "You're going to hear from a number of her friends and family," defense co-counsel Doug Chalmers said. They have remained silent, he said, "out of respect for the legal process" but are "absolutely convinced of her innocence and are anxious to speak out at the right time." Referring to the bond hearing tomorrow at 1:30 pm. Still no info on who will be streaming or broadcasting live. Hmmm, makes me consider going.

ETA to the local foks, I HIGHLY suggest that you email the attorney that wrote this article and let him know you are local and following tbe case...as I believe he will email you something very Interesting. STRONG SUGGESTION HINT to locals to do! Hate typing on Nook! So many errors but you get gist!

Instead, they say Sneiderman was more subtle in "planting the seed" by telling Neuman her husband was not an attentive father. That, they say, conjured up insecurities concerning his own damaged childhood and drove him to save the children and Andrea by committing murder.
