HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The attorney for a husband and wife who are at the center of a high-profile kidnapping case in Horry County says he plans to release new information in the case next month.....

Three men face a host of charges for their roles in alleged break-ins in the Conway area, police say.

One of the men arrested, Donald Demarino, was a witness in the trials against Tammy and Sidney Moorer. Demarino was charged with six counts of breaking and entering auto, possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of a firearm by certain persons. [...]

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – Time is running out for Tammy Moorer to provide information into the whereabouts of Heather Elvis and possibly have time reduced off her sentence.

In October 2018, Moorer was convicted of kidnapping Elvis in 2013. She was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

According to Solicitor Jimmy Richardson, a statute was passed within the last few years that states if an inmate helps in an investigation within the first year of being incarcerated, they can apply for a “downward departure” to try and have time shaved off their sentence.

CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — Sidney Moorer’s attorney released a rap video mentioning Moorer’s continued, but never filed, threat of a civil lawsuit after his conviction for the kidnapping of Heather Elvis.

Sidney Moorer’s attorney, Eric Poston of Poston, LLC, said in February that he planned on filing a civil lawsuit. The profanity-laced video’s description on YouTube says the lawsuit will be $100 million.

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Sidney Moorer, who was convicted in 2019 of kidnapping Heather Elvis, has asked the South Carolina Supreme Court to overturn his obstruction of justice conviction.

The appeal states that while Moorer lied to officials when he said he didn’t call Elvis from a pay phone, within 10 seconds he admitted to the call. The appeal argues that the lie didn’t interfere with the investigation.
