GUILTY HI - Ivanice 'Ivy' Harris, 28, pregnant, Waikiki, 16 May 2013

This article also has a video news segment:

Cosby's defense attorney said the court-martial is no longer about who killed Harris, but why? According to Plummer, Cosby and Harris were in the Marine's hotel room at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel when she woke him up from a drunken stupor and asked for money. As Cosby attempted to usher Harris out of his room, Plummer said she attacked.

And this article states:
Plummer said that during the early hours on May 16, 2013, Cosby, who had been drinking for 10 hours, was in his hotel room with Harris. At some point, when Cosby was asleep on a bed, the defense counsel said, "She woke him up saying, 'You need to pay me.'"

Cosby then told her to get out of the room, Plummer said, adding that an argument ensued during which Harris produced a lipstick-like knife with a razor-type blade on it.

"She cuts him right here, slashes across his arm," Plummer said, as Cosby was ushering her to the door. "When that knife slid across his arm, he reacted," Plummer said. Harris then stabbed Cosby in the temple with the knife, the defense counsel said.

Military jury recommends life sentence for Marine for murdering prostitute

This conviction automatically carries a reduction to E-1 and forfeiture of all pay and allowances, a military spokesman said. The jury also recommended that Cosby receive a dishonorable discharge.
The recommended sentence will be reviewed by Lt. Gen. Terry Robling, the Commander of U.S. Marine Forces Pacific and the court-martial's convening authority. Robling will either concur with the sentence or reduce the penalty.

Pimp of prostitute pleads guilty

A Portland man admitted to taking his girlfriend to Hawaii for prostitution in May 2013

Mark "Meezilini Da Bank'Roll" Miles Jr. 36, pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to violating the Mann Act, which makes it a crime to transport someone between states for prostitution.

As part of a plea agreement, Miles is expected to be sentenced in June to three years in prison

About a dozen supporters of Miles -- including Harris' father, mother and sister -- were in court Wednesday. Several of them told Miles they loved him as he was led out of the courtroom in handcuffs after the hearing.

Marion Greer, Harris' father, said the couple got involved in something they did not fully understand and suffered the consequences for it.
"He didn't make her do anything," Greer said. "They were chasing that pot of gold together, and they now have nothing to show for it. It cost her life, and it's going to cost his."

At least her father is being honest when he states that she knew what she was doing. Of course that doesn't mean she should have been killed. They just weren't thinking of possible bad outcomes.
