Homegate Hotel

Are we sure the travel crib was not the hotel's travel crib? It just make sense to me that the Quality Inn could of offered her a crib, when the Homegate didn't and that's why she had one only at the Quality Inn.:waitasec:

I don't think we do have anything saying for sure it wasn't the hotel's. If it was the hotel's they probably wouldn't have pointed it out, but then again, there's so much bad reporting on this case, I just don't know.

That is what I thought as well--especially because a travel crib (or play yard) was still in the trailer when LM emptied it out. Where would she have gotten two? Or if it wasn't one that EJ brought, did she buy it OR did someone buy it for her (or loan it to her)?

Maybe she took a Pack & Play/Travel Crib that the Smith's had for him???
If so, and it could be proved, that would pretty much show that the Smith's knew she wasn't taking him to see Logan. JMO.

That's true or maybe she just had it in the car if it was a Pack & Play and then decided to bring it in so she could leave it there. She didn't need it anymore. I thought the one they found in the shed back in AZ was his actual crib not a travel crib/pack & play?

I believe one of the volunteers that helped posted on FB that she folded up the portable crib or play yard. I will put this as a question for the family.

Maybe if there was an adoption agency coordinating they could have loaned it as well?

Just noticed that this poster decided to write a review for both the Homegate and Quality Inn on tripadvisor on Jan 21st 2010. He claims that he and his associates were staying at these hotels for over 2 months attending school before deploying to Afghanistan. He notes his date of stay as Dec 2009 for Homegate and Jan 2010 for Quality Inn and indicates that they had a K9 unit with them?

So he is now in Afghanistan and decides to sign up to Trip Advisor (he had no previous account and just signed up in Jan) to post reviews for just those two hotels? Do the soldiers over there have that kind of time on their hands? Another thing that just makes me go hmmmm? :waitasec:

Okay so he's not a soldier, he owns his own company that does "Executive Security Work". I wonder if this guy and his associates have been found and questioned about anything they may have seen at the hotel.

I find it pretty ironic that this team of security experts was staying in the hotel for over two months while possible illegal baby trafficking was going on right under their noses. :banghead:

Seems to me that LE should contact those of this company who were staying at the hotel -- they would seem like credible witnesses?

I think you should or someone should submit this information

I would HOPE that LE has contacted everyone that stayed at these hotels during the timeframe Elizabeth was there to find out if they saw/heard anything. These would be some of the most important leads they could possibly get during this case. Not to mention, that there is a possibility that one or more of those people were directly linked to this case. JMO

I hope this has been submitted as well. If these people were there for that time, and EJ was there for a week...there is a high probability they saw her and possible the HG.

That was a great find, Kamille. Thanks for posting it!

Security companies like this one usually employ ex-military and ex-LE. I think there might be some excellent leads here. I can guarantee that EJ did not go unnoticed by guys like this...

And security (especially if they are ex military or trained to work in a military operating area like Afghanistan) are trained to notice everything--I mean everything! So even if EJ wasn't completely noticeable for her looks, if they were around when she was around and they saw her, they'll remember. And they could probably tell more about the couple and HG if EJ was seen by them while in their company.

not sure where to post this, so I will start here. Let me know if I did wrong. On the police report it states they confiscated 3 debit cards and other cards. Now 3 debit cards seems like a lot to me. Doesn't that mean 3 checking accounts??? Did those cards get cancelled after her arrest ?? Are we led to believe she paid cash for her travels, or did she use debit cards ???

As the wife of an active duty service member who has been deployed to both Afghanastan and Iraq-it depends on what their job is. Some have alot more online time then others.

My husband worked communications, got a Bronze star for it in Iraq ;) and he was online 18 hours a day, including facebook and instant messenger. Even though he was so far away, I was a lucky wife, as through-out the day, I could chat with him at will.

Back to lurking ;)
