The demographics are good and there's nothing in particular to indicate she died at the time she went missing.

She looks so very sad in all her pictures. I hope she found some happiness somewhere.

I'm in the area. About 20 miles south of Kettering (suburb of Dayton). The theory is some guy and woman were high and hit her with their van and then "defiled" the body but won't tell people where her body is. Just FYI.

How accurate are these type of reconstructions? That is a very long chin and should be distinguishable.

It varies according to the artist and also according to whether they're trying for a precise reconstruction so accurate it could be used for identification, or for "something that will jog the memory of the people who see her." In the latter school of thought, the artist may try to emphasize prominent features of the victim (and according to the forensics class I took last year, there's evidence that that approach generates more recognition from people who knew the person).

And then there are all the factors about condition of the face, injuries, bloating, discoloration from blood pooling, etc. etc. etc.

It appears that in these reconstructions, it's probably fair to assume that she did have a long or prominent chin, but it might not be quite as long or prominent as it appears in the reconstruction.

How's that for a vague answer?

Yes, Heather ran away with a man wanted for crimes committed in Ontario, and the two of them have been hiding out for several years. I've always wondered if they didn't head to the US. I am hoping that she is still alive. Heather came from a good, rural family and had no reason to hide out, other than shielding the loser that lured her away. I keep hoping that she finds her way back home.

Deanna Howland was added recently to Namus. Last seen 9 years prior to the Casey discovery, from Alton Il 140 miles away. She had a couple aliases, Deanna Froehlich or Kinnear. I found nothing on her besides what's on Namus. Her physical description is close on all counts but the time span makes it a long shot I guess.

The facial comparison is not exactly blowing my skirt up but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway.

Authorities still working Jane Doe cold case

Authorities continue investigating a Jane Doe whose body was found near I-70 two years ago. The woman's remains were found on an entrance ramp off the interstate.

Investigators aren't revealing how she died, but say it was a homicide. They still don't know who she was, but they want the public to know they haven't forgotten about her.

The woman is said to be 20 - 30 years old, 5'3", 140 lbs., with dark hair.

"It is absolutely frustrating because we know somewhere there's a mom or a dad or a sister or a brother."

Why not Paige Johnson? I talked about this UID on the PJ thread a while back and noticed she was never submitted.

Paige was 17 when reported missing in 2010 so in 2013 she would be 20.

Paige was reported as 5 foot 1 and 110 lbs.
Height could be measured wrong and she gain weight.
Paige is reported to have light hair but I believe her natural color was dark.

Maybe she was sold into the sex trade or something.

I don't know. I don't think it's her; her eyes and the bridge of her nose are wrong and the circumstances make it extremely unlikely. But I can't quite rule her out, either.

For many agencies, the only names on the ruleouts list will be the ones who were suggested by Namus based on near matches in characteristics. Paige is far enough off on height, weight, etc. that she would be unlikely to be matched up.
