GUILTY IL - Jeffrey, 50, Lori, 48, & Michael Kramer, 20, slain, Darien, 2 March 2010

What a horrendous thing to do to this family. Bless Angela and her child. The pain they will have to endure is immense. I don't know what to say about the perps. I just can't imagine how plotting and committing a murder seems like a resolution to a custody battle. This fool will never see his child again outside of prison bars.

ETA: I wonder if the other family members were intended targets. Surely if he was this desperate to gain custody he might think he has to take her whole family out. Sad all around.

From my post above:

Throughout February Borizov and Nodarse discussed killing the three Kramer family members and Angela Kramer, prosecutors said.

So it seems they did want to kill everyone, except maybe the older brother. Crazy. What is there to gain?????

Since the perp left witnesses, it seems these survivors would know immediately who the perp is. They must have heard his voice, if not seen him, unless he just burst in and started shooting, which is unlikely since it was 3am when the shootings took place and the victims were not found in their beds. It sounds like the perp came in, woke the family up, they came downstairs, and then were killed there.

OMG at Nodarse's grandmother saying he 'has a heart of gold'. I understand denial and all that, but a comment like that is completely inappropriate given the circumstances. There's such a thing as 'no comment'. To say an alleged murderer of 3 people has a 'heart of gold' is outrageous and shows a total disregard for the victims and their family.

The father and son were downstairs (comments on some sites say the son had surgery and was recovering on the couch), the mom shot on the stairs. I don't think they knew this guy! AK maybe, but it doesn't sound like she was hanging out with the ex.

ITA about Nodarse's family.

Much more info in this article. I figured his parents or some other relative had the baby all along, he wasn't going to take the chance of the baby getting shot.

This statement seems to solve the question of who Borizov was with at the casino:

Borizov made sure security cameras and credit card receipts would bolster his alibi, prosecutors said. He also brought a relative so someone else could vouch for his whereabouts, authorities said.

Haven't seen this one before...looks like his lawyer is going to try to use THIS as a defense?!?!

A man police have charged in the Darien triple homicides was last year hailed as a hero for scooping an infant boy from an intersection and out of oncoming traffic.

"The difficulty of having to live with the memory of someone killed right before his eyes... It was a very traumatic, tragic experience," said Grant Dixon, Borizov's attorney, at the time.

Here we go with the Jose Baez-esque defense attorney. Lots of new info in this article.

http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/...ly-johnny-borizov-jacob-nodarse-shooting.html

Borizov's lawyer Marc Wolfe, called Muntz's allegations "empty."

"These are mere allegations and there are no facts tying him to this occurrence," Wolfe said.

Wolfe also disputed the prosecution's motive in the case and shifted the blame to Jacob Nodarse.

He said the custody issue "was not heated and was going very well. This whole case sits on this fellow Jacob. Because Jacob professes to know Johnny, therefore Johnny must be involved? Ridiculous."

A comment left on that story says he didn't save the child, a woman did. Who knows what the truth is in that case...

Off topic, but I just realized MK and I share a mutual friend on facebook. He went to school with a close friend's son. I don't know if she knows the family, but he has a "RIP Mike and family" message up. :(

My nephew was friends with Jacob Nodarse in school.

A Willow Springs man accused of arranging the murders of his ex-girlfriend's family -- and trying to have her slain as well -- is seeking court-ordered visitation with their 19-month-old son.

Johnny Borizov is being held without bail in the DuPage County Jail while he awaits trial on charges stemming from the shootings March 2 that killed three members of a Darien family.

<snip>

"He's always been a good parent," his attorney, Nicholas Kirkeles, said of the 28-year-old Borizov.

Attorney Nicholas Kirkeles must be living on another planet, uh huh, all "good" parents hire someone to kill their 'inlaws' - and take out the baby's maternal grandparents, maternal uncle AND their try to take out the baby momma. Uh huh....all children should be forced to establish relationships with alleged (and likely to be convicted) murderers...

Mr. Kirkeles your clients parental rights should (and likely will ) be TERMINATED! No good judge- especially not the one in court room 2003- is going to force a 19 month old child to visit his dna contributor in the county jail or prison. Not exactly a good environment for a child.

If I were this childs mother, no way, no how would I or could I coparent with the who (allegedly) murdered my parents and brother.

Mr. Kirkeles should give his client his retainer back if he thinks for a second his client will get even so much as a single jail house visit with his son. That's one attorney I will strike off my list should I ever need representation for my custody and coparenting in DuPage.

And immediately after these heinious murders occured , not one, not two but THREE, they said it wasn't a custody matter. Puhlease! :furious: :furious: :furious:

I'll add this. When custody or visitation is ordered it is always done in the best interest OF THE CHILD, not the best interest of the parent.

If this visitation case is being heard in DuPage, I can guaranty the likelihood of this man getting a jail visit with his 19 month old son is as likely as the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series THIS YEAR. (And they are already mathmatically eliminated).

No, this is nothing more than a pot shot from this childs father to further torment his childs mother from behind bars and Kirkeles is the :clown: playing into it and allowing his client to further torment this childs poor greiving mother- who just lost both her parents and her brother (allegedgly) at the hands of her childs father. I despise attorney's like him. :furious: :furious: :furious:

I should have the mods edit the thread title to read custody battle murder for hire... I think I will.

I would not be justice for the victims of this crime to have the thread title read home invasion when this was really a custody battle murder for hire.

wow thanks...didn't know was going on now and live? IN IL no less....never happens

I know, I was shocked when I saw it!

Here is an article from the Trib, along with some video:

Murderer of Darien family members testifies against Borizov

By Clifford WardSpecial to the Tribune
1:40 p.m. CDT, April 25, 2013

The key prosecution witness in the trial of Johnny Borizov testified today that he had become so ensnared in a criminal conspiracy that he believed his only way out was to kill the mother of Borizov's child and her family.

Jacob Nodarse took the witness stand and described that over a period of months Borizov laid the ground work that led Nodarse to kill his friend, Michael Kramer, 20, and Kramer's parents, Jeffrey and Lori, during a March 2010 break-in at the family's Darien house.

Borizov and Angela Kramer, the Kramers' daughter, had a child, and authorities allege that a fight over custody led to the murders. She was in the house, but not injured. Borizov is charged with murder, solicitation and conspiracy.

Nodarse, who has pleaded guilty but mentally ill to murder, said that Borizov convinced him over a period of months that Borizov led an organized crime crew, and that Michael Kramer was making arrangements to have Nodarse killed as an outgrowth of the custody battle.

"You've taken your last breath of freedom's air," Judge Daniel Guerin told the former Willow Springs resident, who was convicted in May for plotting the murders of Jeffrey and Lori Kramer of Darien and their son, Michael.

Guerin sentenced Borizov to three consecutive life sentences in prison for murder and a 30-year sentence for soliciting the murder of Angela Kramer. Life in prison is mandatory under state law for multiple murder convictions.
