I think the salvage yard is on the left (where I circled in red?), and you can see there are several towers. They'd be able to tell (I think) what direction he went from the salvage yard by the pings from his cell phone.

This is in Quarry Lakes Rec Area. And this is the only place in the entire Quarry Lakes region that I can find a good deal of cover that would conceal anything.

There is a community pool a few streets away. It seems pretty far for him to go, but you never know. Plus, if he drowned here behind the clubhouse in the middle of the day, I don't think Ross could keep it secret.
