I just don't know what to think about that woman - Molino. I've seen her in two interviews today and she is the one that (probably sold) those pix of the girls. Now she is trying so hard to say the girls and Jaycee didn't live in the backyard - that they were in the house - she never "verified" this but was basing her conclusions on the facts that the girls were always clean, dressed appropriately with clean clothes, hair wasn't ever dirty. etc. That doesn't mean they weren't living back there. Don't some victims of these horrible crimes stay "cleaner" - taking a lot of showers, etc? I just don't like this woman - seems PG gave her a copy of the "manifesto" on Monday and he was "proclaiming that an event was going to take place" - she just never realized he was going to confess to this - she thought it was more a "religious event" related to "his box". Oh please................
She mentioned she was a cosmetologist instructor, found this:

Boy o boy - she sure didn't look like THAT on TV today now did she?

IMO this woman was "caught up" with it all. PG saw this - we know he's a manipulator. He got her with the religion. I'm willing to bet she actually "defended" him and all the activity around that house and all the questioning the other neighbors were doing about "creepy phil". She's just out in my book.

This creep approached her once he got out and she called to report and find out if he had been released. That's how she found out he was released. They didn't contact her when he got out. She wasn't sure it was him because the authorities told her he wasn't up for parole until 2006!!!!! More "dropped" tips on this guy!!!!

this alone and in of itself is very, very disturbing!

She and her husband own the JM Enterprises, the wrecking yard, and they have known him for about 10 years. I had forgotten about the beauty parlor stuff. But, she gets around, she seems very active and involved in stuff. She is also involved with some community oriented motorcycle club.
And, since he had set up a tent at their yard, and since he had been spouting his religious stuff forever, it makes perfect sense to me that she thought he might be talking about some religious event.
Personally, I think she is in shock.

I was so agitated listening to her!!!!!! She sounded like she was defending him...and she then mentioned that the media is not showing the inside of that 4000 sq ft. home....4000??????? And there have been pics of the inside and it's just as nasty as the back yard. A dump! I think she's in it for her 5 minutes and a few bucks. She's waiting for Oprah to call I'm sure! She's the one who took those pics at the party. I don't like this woman and don't think she's doing Jaycee and the girls any favors

parole officer acted with "due diligence" This guy is PROUD of his parole officer???? Now - she is saying that same parole officer TOLD HER that he is a "sick puppy" and that "we pretty sure he's gonna do this again - just not directed at you""""!!!!!! Parole department dude just shut up!!!!

Supposedly was so very well concealed - no one would have seen it. Even neighbors that were IN THAT BACKYARD didn't know what was going on - c'mon, this is just getting bad. Give this guy a ride back to his hotel - he's useless - just like his parole officer!!!!!!

I was going to type something completely different but the emotion got wasted on me...........this case has really wasted me....truly..... I agree that parole was negligent....... they HAD to have MISSED SOME CLUES COMING FROM THIS NUTHATCH! They blew them off.. and so he was able to continue to live out his fantasy. It WAS HIS FANTASY. I think the dude was so excited because he had his own personal shangrila and was excited (and so derranged and stupid) to want to try to share it with the rest of the civilized world. This tells me he was quite a bit off of his rocker. Enogh to get him off on an insanity defense? I hope not but don't count your chickens before they hatch... they hatch!

where are the pics of the inside of the house? TIA

I also caught that 4,000 sq ft house. That's HUGE!!! I really don't think - from the roofline of that house in the aerials that its 4,000 sq ft. Nope.

I dunno nursie. First, in his first phonecall - to the media within hours of being arrested - he was arrogant but also spoke clearly and AND THIS IS A HUGE AND - he referred to Jaycee as the victim!!!! Clearly a marker that he's somewhat "sane" and knows what he did is wrong.

Then there's his great manifesto - in it there are several notarized affidavits from people stating that he (PG) is in sound mind. YEA RIGHT!!! But legally - I think those alone will help tremendously with any legal "insanity" defense. Remember - legal insanity means you don't know right from wrong and he clearly did - just by the sheer LENGTH of the crime - 18 years!!!!!

Nope - I'm pretty confident that "insanity" ain't gonna be his defense and it ain't gonna stick in a court of law.

and so if the dude is living in the NEIGHBOR'S SHED............ why would he do so if he had four thousand square feet of his own to enjoy.....with REAL PLUMBING! I think we know the answer to this and it isn't easy to accept. He is a deviant to the core and his desires could not be carried out in a normal home. What Jaycee went thru is something most of us could never likely fathom. My prayers are with her..... what an ordeal..............

you are reading me wrong. I agree with you swag. He will NOT GET OFF ON INSANITY in my opinion. He knew too much of what was right and wrong and protected it. I am sure we will get that at trial in wtns. statements from his daughters and jaycee and perhaps even his wife.

Where I am going with this is that I think he will TRY to play the card but it won't fly.

Wouldn't he and Melissa Huckaby make great cell mates? We should suggest a transfer... they are one in the same in terms of sexual deviancy!

yes ma'am they would make for great cellmates!!!! I'm really hoping that this doesn't go to trial. Really. I don't want to see, know, go through that. NOPE. Plus for Jaycee and the girls - nope. I'm really praying for a "Jack Ruby" of the 21st century. Someone that has the guts and the strength to get close enough and help us all out!!!

I don't think too much of this Molino woman either. She's way too defensive of PG and trying very hard to minimize everything that's happened.

I watched LKL while eating dinner, and am going to watch the repeat broadcast in a few minutes. This was a very good program!

Maybe his home was so cluttered up like his backyard was and he ran out of living space? Seriously, I think he was holding victims in the shed.

I think this dude had a shed issue and was oblivious to anyone looking in sheds for what he had done. I truly think he had escaped the system at this point and was feeling bold and brave in telling some of what he considered, "small things"....guess he screwed up. THANK GOD!

I really wonder what car he was driving when he abducted Katherine!!!! Did it match the description of the sedan or the rusty old van? The cops cops should be able to link that up post haste but a lot of good hindsight does now, eh?

He didn't use he own vehicle. Katie was in her own car in the parking lot of a grocery story when he tapped on her window and said he needed a ride to his house, not far away. She said yes and he got in the passenger seat. He directed her to a side street and after she turned down the side street and stopped to let him out, he attacked her - slammed her head into the steering wheel and whipped out handcuffs. He put her in the back seat and drove her to a mini warehouse in Reno, where he raped her.

Hoarders!
Thank you thank you. I had seen that before but my mind didn't connect - duh!!! It is an "inside" of a permanent building. I hope you find more. I just don't see from this one picture why they had to "condemn" the building. Yes it is cluttered, but I have seen some "real doozies" down here. There isn't bags of garbage or "trash" lying around. But of course we're only getting one picture of "part of" two rooms so......

Callaway, who has since married Jim Hall and goes by her married name, thought that Garrido wouldn't be paroled until at least 2006, she said during an appearance on CNN's "Larry King Live." But a little more than a decade after she was assaulted, she was approached at a Lake Tahoe casino by a man who resembled Garrido. She called prison officials and learned that he had been paroled to California.

"In many ways, the capture of Phillip Garrido has closed a chapter in my life," she wrote on the show's blog. "I don't have to hide anymore. I don't have to live every day of my life wondering if he is looking for me. I am finally free from the fear I have lived with since the day I learned he was paroled."
<snip>
Nearly 33 years ago, on Nov. 22, 1976, Garrido walked up to Callaway's car at a South Lake Tahoe market and asked for a ride, according to court documents. She had planned to cook dinner for her boyfriend and had just bought groceries. She said yes, and they headed off toward Stateline.

Before they hit the California/Nevada border, Callaway pulled to the side of the road to let Garrido out. He grabbed the keys, turned off the engine, handcuffed Callaway and then tied her up "like one of those calves in a rodeo," Lutfy said.

"He talked to her on the way from California to Nevada, took LSD and told her in graphic detail what he was going to do to her when he got her to Nevada," Lutfy said. "This was a sicko."

And he blamed Callaway for his actions, telling her, according to court documents, "that it wasn't intentional that he had taken her, but that it was her fault because she was attractive." Garrido headed to a storage unit he rented in an industrial neighborhood in Reno.

Because Garrido transported Callaway across state lines, the kidnapping became a federal case and went to trial in February 1977. A jury found him guilty, and he was sentenced to 50 years in federal prison. He appealed the decision to the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and lost. read more:

I've been in the courtroom when a rape victim was questioned by a defense attorney. It disgusted me. I have nothing but endless admiration for a woman who would stand up like this.

There's no shame in being a robbery victim, there's no shame in being an assault victim, there should be no shame in being a rape victim. I would never look at a rape victim that way and I'm disgusted there are some individuals - and some entire cultures - that do.

Well said!

Katie Calloway should be applauded for taking a strong stand and telling her story, and her support of Jaycee and her family.
