PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. – The investigation into where a missing 51-year-old woman is has now entered its second week.

The last time Angela Green was seen was in July. Someone just reported her missing last week, but no one's seen her since last summer.

Note: PD post states last seen date is June 19, 2019. Going with that date.

Some very concerning info in the article. Apparently, Angela's daughter (she's in college) was told by her Dad that her Mom died of a stroke in July!

So, let's say that her daughter was told by Dad that Mom had died of a stroke. Was there no funeral? It was summer, where was the daughter? She didn't want to come & say goodbye to her Mom? I don't know what kind of relationship they've had, but this seems very bizarre. Angela is originally from China but has been living in Prairie Village for about a decade (see video in the post above), and probably stayed in the USA longer as the daughter is in college. Did she not have any friends? Something is very off here, IMO.

In case of Prairie Village woman missing since summer, investigators have difficult task

Concerned neighbors reached out to Green's daughter at college asking about her mom, and they got a surprising reply by text.

"She said her dad told her that her mom had died of a stroke in July but that she thinks that may not be the case,” one neighbor said.

Police said they're getting conflicting statements about Green's disappearance. Tabman believes at this point, it's being investigated as a homicide.

“Irrespective of anything else, we always know the husband is going to be a suspect,” Tabman said. “Again, not conclusive, it doesn't mean he did it, but they always look at the husbands or boyfriends first. But now we have a husband who's not giving credible information such as not reporting his wife missing or saying she died, but we have no indication of that.

Whatever happened to her happened in July. I hope that's not the last clue they get him to drop on himself. This doesn't sound as though they're going to find her alive in China, or anywhere. My prayers for her loved ones.

How bizarre! The article said "someone" reported her missing - was it one of the neighbors?

My guess is that her daughter reported her missing. It reads as though she was contacted by concerned neighbors then she filed the report. MOO

Prairie Village police seek help to locate woman missing since June
Police launched their investigation on Feb. 18 when a family member reported the 51-year-old woman as missing, saying she was last seen on June 19, 2019.

Green is described as an Asian woman, 5-foot-9, weighing 116 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Prairie Village woman reported missing eight months after disappearance

If the height & weight are accurate, this lady could easily die of starvation!

I wonder if she was 5'4", 116 pounds? (We see this so often.)

The neighbors talk about her gardening & always being outdoors!

And -- the daughter didn't come home over the holidays? Maybe she works, picked up extra hours when everyone else left town?

Hinky meter chiming...

I didn't think about the height/weight ratio, but the height did strike me. Asian people on average are shorter than people of European descent (5'2" avg for a Chinese woman), and 5'9" is quite tall. Those figures put her BMI at 17, which is classed as underweight.

So...she was told her mom had a stroke and died...and I guess she didn't expect a funeral or memorial service for her mom?

They reached out to her at college - but the article says KU student - so presumably Kansas University...which is a 44 minute drive to Prairie Village. It's not like she was hours or states away. So strange MOO.

Curious about the relationship dynamics between father/daughter and mother/daughter for her to (1) accept his word and (2) not think twice about no service for her mom either, particularly since she appears to be a hop, skip & jump from home.

At this point, we are still working a missing persons investigation," Washington said. "Nothing says this will not change to a criminal investigation, but as we sit here right now, it's a missing persons."

Washington reiterated that they received conflicting statements leading police to believe Green is endangered.

"Some questions are simple to answer, and when they start to get conflicting statements, it's concerning to us," Washington said.

I'm hoping they found some "facts". ;)

Why'd they search two homes? Whose homes are those? I presume one is their's but the other home? In-laws? o_O

Authorities arrived about 7 a.m. Wednesday in the 7600 block of Tomahawk Road in Prairie Village where Angela Green has lived at with her husband for nearly 20 years.

On Wednesday, police had crime scene tape lined around the entire home and streets blocked off. Investigators were seen carrying rakes, gloves, buckets and evidence bags to the backyard. It hasn’t been said what they’re doing in there, but the tent itself suggests they’re preserving that area.

The Prairie Village police also served a search warrant at Marionix Marble and Granite in Olathe.

 Wow! I suppose after Angela's July "stroke" someone conveniently buried her body in the backyard. I'm sure this was someone who was acting in a loving and kind way in order to spare her daughter the grief of a proper memorial and/or burial of her mom?

Oh, this is gonna get interesting here reeeaaal soon.

Thank you. I looked up the company but didn't find any obvious connection to Angela. I wonder if Angela knows the co.'s owner, Mario? Maybe she worked there. It's interesting for sure.
