The Patricia Kimmi wrongful death civil lawsuit jury trial has been continued until Monday, Feb. 25 in Atchison County District Court.

The terms of the settlement are confidential, according to a journal entry filed Tuesday in Atchison County District Court approving the wrong death settlement.

Also on Tuesday, a journal entry of confession of judgment was signed by Roger Hollister, allowing judgment against him in favor of the Kimmi children in the amount of $200,000.

“This concession is based solely on the fact of his criminal conviction, a conviction which is not yet final,” an Atchison County District Court document states.

Rebecca Hollister is in custody! YES!!!!


According to the Atchison County Sheriff, Jack Laurie, the wife of the man found guilty for the November 2009 death of a rural Horton resident is in custody. Rebecca Hollister was arrested for the alleged role she played in the death of Patricia Kimmi.

The Atchison County undersheriff and KBI arrested Hollister at her Topeka home late Tuesday morning and transported her to the Nemaha County jail in Seneca.

She is expected to be booked into jail on the charge of aiding a felon.

Thanks for all the work you do to keep these cases updated and chronicled, Amanda. It really helps me when I have been away for extended periods of time due to ill health--I know I can come in and look for your posts and be almost immediately brought up to date. The update today especially was one that brought great joy to my heart.

Here is Mrs Hollister's mug shot. She is charged in Nemaha County, but is being held in Atchison County Jail because there is not enough space in Nemaha County Jail.

If convicted, she won't be in jail for long. But it is good that she might have to get a taste of justice.

I just knew that she wasn't "little miss innocent" like she wanted people to believe! She was much more involved than she let on. So glad that LE has continued to pursue this case.

For one thing I"ll miss the notion of his being punished.

I hope that his death does not have an adverse effect on any potential arrests and/or convictions of ringleader(s) or accomplice(s) in the murder of Patricia. I hope that prosecutors have enough evidence, including videotaped interviews with Hollister, to continue to investigate and, hopefully, prosecute said person(s).
