A 22-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man was charged with multiple felonies Thursday for allegedly offering to provide a 2-year-old child for sex.

The investigation started in Springfield, Missouri several weeks ago Garrett was ultimately arrested in the 3300 block of North 59th Terrace in Kansas City, Kansas, according to the district attorney's office.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – New details were released on Friday about a KCK man accused of offering up his 2-year-old daughter for sex. Prosecutors confirmed a man who’d moved to the city just a few weeks ago allegedly tried to sell his own toddler online for sex.

“How could anybody want to have sex or even offer for sale sex with a 2-year-old?” Wyandotte County District Attorney Jerome Gorman asked.

borndem - the piece of filth that shouldn’t be allowed to breathe our air will have to serve at least 20 years before he can be paroled. No where near enough time. Hoping everyday he serves will be a nightmare that doesn’t end. I wish I hadn’t read the article but I’m glad that ticya found this and updated so we know he isn’t walking free. No one was in court for his sentencing except him & the attorneys.

The victim may not remember it consciously but that amount of horrific abuse is highly likely to lead to traumatisation (99% probability MOO), which doesn't just simply disappear with time. Treatment is possible and the sooner the better to reduce cumulative effects of complex post-traumatic stress disorder. (Even if that diagnosis doesn't yet officially exist in the US afaik, it does in other countries and involves more problems to treat than simple ptsd w/o 'complex'.)

Here's hoping and praying somebody caring, loving and competent enough to get the right treatment lined up has been looking after this little child since the ad was found on Craigslist.
