But in the midst of a community helping there's a pain that can't be filled, Roger's parents tell us her boyfriend Brooks Houck is not letting anyone see Roger's youngest child as Tommy Ballard, Crystal Rogers' father mentioned, "Her boyfriend's got him, he won't let his brother and sisters see him." There are five children total that are without their mother. Tommy Ballard adds, "I can't imagine what that baby is going through not being able to see his brothers or sisters."

Missing Bardstown woman's parents seeking grandparents rights for her youngest son

--snip--

"Not only did they lose their mother, they lost their brother too because they haven't seen him since this happened," Sherry Ballard, Crystal's mother said.

By filing for grandparents rights, the Ballard's are hoping to be able to see 2-year-old Eli at least every other weekend and a day each week. They will have a court hearing next week.

"We miss him I mean he is part of our family, we haven't seen him since this has a happened and I just sit and think what is going through his mind, he has his mom no more, he hasn't seen any of us, does he think we all just disappeared out of his life? And it's hard," Sherry Ballard said.

The Ballard's say they are doing this for a number of reasons. They miss seeing Eli, want to remind him of his mother, and want him to be able to spend time with his brother and sisters.

The search for Crystal is still going strong and she has not been forgotten. Her wonderful family with the support of the community will not allow this to happen. Her precious children need and deserve answers. We all have faith here that will happen. I pray that it will be soon.

“Tonight’s services are about rallying for the family, reinforcing Crystal’s name in the community, and the power of prayer,” said Mary Taylor of Liberty Tax Service, who has helped organize various community events in support of the Ballard family. “They need us now more than ever. Some have asked ‘When will you all stop this?’ The answer is simple. We won’t, until the goal is reached and Crystal is home.”
