I'm having a baby. We don't know if it will be a boy or a girl, we've decided to keep it a surprise. But, if we have a boy, he'll be named Kyron. One of my greatest wishes for him will be that he could one day meet his namesake... you.

Dear Kyron,

Well, you did it. The tallest sunflower that we planted for you on June 4th bloomed this morning. I almost forgot to look but I heard my 9 year old son screaming with joy this morning before I took him to school, exclaiming that the biggest one had bloomed. I started to cry a little but then felt happy because I feel like wherever you are, you see it too. And I have a feeling that when I return home from work today, all 8 of them will have bloomed. How special you are.

I cannot say "happy" birthday either. I will say that you are so loved! Even by people that have never even met you! Please make sure to visit your mommy and daddy and brother and sister from time to time. I bet you already do that.

We will never give up! My only hope for today is that you feel surrounded by love. May love envelope you and shine on you and may you feel like the special boy you are.
