I just watched Danelle Hallan's coverage on this case, and I agree with her that we need to know first whether Jake communicated with his friend(s) by actual phone call or by text before he disappeared. Anyone can send a text, but hearing his voice would confirm when he was last alive.
It doesn't seem that the phone records were publicly available when Danelle made her video, but the Unfound Podcast posted an analysis of them on YouTube in Feb 2021. I'll just say that, while the activity and content look like typical usage to me, I find it questionable that, according to the podcast, the people in those interactions haven't all come forward to corroborate the communication.
The 911-call came in around 2:45 a.m. The last time Jake's phone received a lengthy incoming call from someone he knew was 2:03 a.m. If this person can confirm hearing Jake's voice, then this means something happened to Jake in just 40 minutes.
However, if this call was just a voicemail, then we need to go back to the last time Jake's phone made an outgoing call, which was around 12 a.m. of the same day. So now there are almost 3 hours we need to account for.
But if Jake wasn't the one who made this call, and none of the other communication can be corroborated, then we could be dealing with an entire day!
