Attorney seeks to stop release of calls in Caylee Anthony case

Casey Anthony is expected to be back in court Tuesday as her attorney tries to fight the release of her phone calls from jail.

The latest call was released this evening -- a call between Casey Anthony and her brother Lee in which they talk for close to 15 minutes on Saturday about the missing 2-year-old Caylee. At one point, Lee Anthony asks his sister if she believes Caylee is OK.

"In my gut, she's still OK," Casey Anthony says, "and it still feels like she's...close to home. That's still my best feeling at the moment." (Find an excerpt of the call and other audio from the case here.)

Cindy and George Anthony arrived at the Orange County Jail visitation center this morning for their scheduled 45 minute video conference with daughter Casey Anthony but left early because she was "unavailable."

The Anthonys checked in shortly before 9 a.m. and left around 9:15 a.m. in a black chauffeured car.

Jail officials said Anthony was unavailable because she was on her way to the Orange County Courthouse for her 1:30 p.m. hearing

ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) -- A motion for protective order which was filed by the attorney representing 22-year-old Casey Anthony, who is in custody related to the disappearance of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony, was denied on Tuesday by Judge Stan Strickland of the Ninth Circuit Court.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- The judge hearing the case on the 2-year-old missing girl ordered that her mother, Casey Anthony, undergo a mental evaluation. Judge Strickland of the Ninth Circuit Court said the evaluation must be turned in to him July 30.

Dan Abrams talks to Baez's Co-Counsel and he states that Zenaida was not the only person that took Caylee but he will not say the name in fear of them fleeing. This is the first time that I have heard anything about a 2nd person involved.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- It’s been two weeks and two year old Caylee Marie is still missing.

While not much has happened several players in the case have emerged.

Mom Casey Anthony, her babysitter, ZG and Casey’s friends, Jeff H. and Juliet L.

Anthony told police she worked with Jeff and Juliet at Kodak, at Universal Studios and said she told them Caylee was missing.

Detectives have said all along that Anthony is the key to tracking down Caylee.

Family of Missing Toddler Caylee Anthony Mum on TV Reports of New Concrete Slab in Yard

The family of an Orlando toddler missing for more than a month won't answer questions about a tip that a new concrete slab was poured in the grandparents' backyard over July 4 weekend, shortly before they reported the child missing.

Caylee Marie Anthony's grandmother would neither confirm nor deny the tip about the fresh concrete received by local WFTV Eyewitness News in Orlando, according to the station.
 
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- A new phone call recording was released from Casey Anthony to her brother Lee from the Orange County Jail on July 30th just after noon.

Lee: hey Case.

Casey: hey.

Lee: hey

Casey: um. How’s everything going?

Lee: it's going' okay. How’s everything going with you?

Casey: good. Um. Just took a shower. Figured I’d call, check in and say hi... since I got a chance to see mom and dad this morning.

Lee: okay.

Casey: um. You were at the hearing yesterday at the courthouse... right?

Lee: no. I uh wasn't able to make it. I was working' on some other stuff.

Casey: yeah, well, it was thrown together last minute, literally. I mean... I knew about it... you know the night before. So.

Lee: right. I was doing' something' where I lost complete track of time. So...

Casey: it's okay...

Lee: I apologize for that...

Casey: it's fine...

Lee: I was arriving when everyone was being let out. So...

Casey: hey, no big deal. Um. Yeah. So I just wanted to call and say hi. Um. You know. Tell you that I miss you. And... ohhh... how's everything else? I mean how's everything going as far as... um... you're concerned?

Lee: um. Well. I mean it’s... I think its kind of something new everyday. Some of the stuff that we... uh... talked about before...

Casey: mmm hummm

Lee: you know if there's anything additional or... you know at this moment... I mean I... don't really have a lot of my notes with me right now. But, um. you know... I know there's some... you know... some people (inaudible) and... you know... I’m just curious if anything has changed as far as um... whom I can trust and all of those things.

Lee: um. Most of them on a regular basis and at least most people in the last few... few days.

Lee: or day. So, I am definitely am... you know... just trying to get my bearings and everything like that with everybody.

Casey: okay.

Lee: but um, you know if there's ever anything... particularly that I should look into... or have to follow up on or anything...

Casey: yeah. I’ll definitely let you know if things come up... if anything does at all.

Casey: you still there?

Casey: okay.

It sounds at this point as if Lee lost the connection. Casey waits a few moments before hanging up.

Casey Anthony's family have met with investigators from the Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding her missing 2-year-old daughter Caylee Marie Anthony, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
