The 53 year old female hostage was released.

The chief would not confirm the number of hostages left.

7 dead, 2 shot and injured.

Suspect snorting unknown substance and still agitated. Has more ammunition.

Police chief just said there was one child killed at each location...

The 10 year old at the Plainfield location who's Dad collapsed in the street and another child at the Brynell location.

There is an infant car seat base (up to 35lbs now some of them) in the back of the SUV at the Brynell location. In the garage, on the left. You could see it much better in live video, but those familiar with car seats will likely recognize it anyway.

It sounds like there is still more than one person (hostage) left in the house. They have mentioned a female....possibly a couple of other people in addition to the 'elderly' man.

(BTW...I take offense to considering a woman in her 50's elderly!)

LOL. That's what I was thinking. I was picturing a nice little old couple in their 80s being held hostage. Instead, the released hostage is younger than me!

What if there is a scanner that the released hostage was unaware of?
Seriously... what they were reporting on the news was scary enough... but talking that openly on the scanner is even more frightening.

2 hostages left in the house. 1 male and 1 female, both adults.

3rd person just happened to be visiting when the suspect broke in.

The 3rd person was HIDING in the house when he broke in and he later found her.

I believe is how it was explained. We will have to find out later when things are a bit more clear.

The two people who were shot but not killed.

One was a woman shot in the arm I believe.

The other was a man shot in the nose... but he had a titanium plate in his nose so it ricocheted off his nose!!!

WOW. There is a time to be thankful for previous cancer treatment.

So was Steve the one hiding, or was it Lynn?

I figured it was the visiting friend, but if it wasn't clear if he knew about Steve, maybe it was Steve who was hiding.
