So far LE has not mentioned the Madden or Gordon cases as connected to these other 4 women, although it does seem probable...

I just read a FB post on the Find Kalisha page that she was advertising there. One nickname that I know of that she used was Mocha.

In backpage.com one can use search words to find different things, I've used "mocha", tried the club she danced at, different spellings of her name etc. I've also gone through hundreds of ads looking at the pics only, but I could not recognize Miss Madden in any of those. But it could still be, because some girls only post pics of their bodyparts...

It's really awful. Most of the girls on backpage.com are so young and most of them are really gorgeous girls.
 
I usually enjoy the freedom of LE giving out info on cases. But I do wonder about this one. Ok it is believed that the suspect made contact with the women on backpage. It is now known that LE is watching that site. I don't believe the killer will stop killing, so I think he will just move on to another way to make contact. And this time LE won't have the head start of knowing how he is making contact.

In the link above it states:

"According to Backpage.com, one of the victims was connected to at least 30 different escort ads or postings on at least 15 different websites, separate from Backpage.com.

In a statement issued late Tuesday, the company said: "Our team has already provided the police with detailed information about the ads that the suspect or others posted on numerous websites. Law enforcement authorities now have evidence that the investigation appears to connect to at least 30 different ads or other postings on at least 15 different websites, separate and distinct from ours. We are not aware of the existence of any evidence that would indicate which of these many sites were used by the suspect to establish contact with his victims."

Hopefully this info will help LE track down the person/people who did this.
 
This is a pretty weird story. I wonder if there will be two more on NYE. I hope women travel in fours rather than twos that night.
 
Things I am not clear about.

Of the two sets of women, were both sets known to be together before they were found dead together? Were they last seen together? Is it even known if they knew each other?

How long between the time the women were last seen and when they were thought to have died? Hours? Days? Were there any signs of torture?

Have the families had any contact from the women or the suspect? I noticed in the above article that Curtis (feared to be the other woman with McCrary) left the home about 8 pm, and called her boyfriend two hours later to tell him she loved him. Have any of the others done anything similar?

Have there been a recent increase of single prostitutes showing up dead in the area? For a murderer to start off killing two prostitutes at a time, it doesn't seem like they would start that way. Maybe one or two singles prior then on the doubles.

IF I was posted on backpage, and IF I was in the business I think I would be calling LE if one of my contacts asked for a double date.

It might have been in this article (or another posted upthread) where it says that a family member says that their missing female loved one left with McCrary, and that's why they think she is the un-ID'd body. :(

I wish that women would realize what a dangerous professtion the sex trades are...not blaming them, just sad for them. :(

And Curtis was pregnant.

LE is saying there were no signs of trauma on any of the victims. So I am thinking drug OD (like maybe a stronger/purer dose than typical) or suffication. With Curtis being pregnant, and with the number of women dying I am leaning more towards suffocation or forced ingestion of drugs.
 
You could very well be correct mysteriew . It may be a 'too strong' dose of coke or heroine or something of that nature. It appears LE is thinking it has something to do with the drugs per the below interview from Dec. 25th. They're attempting to fast-track the toxicology reports.

Wonder what the view is on the street? Although we out here in the public don't always hear about it, when there's a lethal dose of whatever making the rounds, LE and the 'street' knows about it.

I think I'm going to move this thread over to the 'Serial Killer' forum. LE is handling these cases together. Let's hope the body count doesn't rise. :(

Interesting that this case has 4 victims, killed in sets of two. Drugs are a definite possibility, but why was one set of victims burned, and the other set was not? Burning did not help to prevent identification. It sort of has the feel of a "warning" to someone - a rival... what??? A rival john, pimp, drug dealer??? It also seems like it would be hard for a single killer to control 2 women at one time. Sad case....

Detroit Police say there are no new leads in the investigations of the murders of these four women, at least not that they're talking about.

They are still waiting for test results and hoping that people will call homicide investigators with important information.

I'm anxious about New Year's Eve...hope that women there will take this warning to heart and will be safe tonite!
