MN - Connor Bowman, 30, pharmacist & poison control employee, charged w/ murder of his wife Betty, 32, by poisoning, Rochester, Aug 2023

Despite the couple agreeing to be in an 'open relationship' with no strings attached, Bowman allegedly became infatuated with his new girlfriend, prompting Betty to confront him and suggest they start divorce proceedings.

Bowman, who was in debt, also told a friend he was due for a $500,000 life insurance policy following her death.

Upon searching Bowman's home, investigators recovered a receipt for a $450,000 bank deposit.

Friends, many of whom were medical professionals themselves, are said to have suspected the 30-year-old may have had a role in his wife's death.

Ten days before Betty's death, a friend reportedly tried a smoothie Bowman had made for his wife. It 'tasted very bad,' and the friend even joked that 'Connor must be trying to poison her.'

Betty quipped that she 'had considered it at the time and said she didn’t think that would happen.' However, she chose not to drink the smoothie anyway and threw it out, the affidavit said.

One of Betty's boyfriends told detectives she was so sick she 'could not sleep at all' after a night of drinking with her husband, four days before her death.

She said the culprit may have been alcohol that was mixed into a large smoothie, according to the affidavit.

prescribes the poison to himself. genius move there bucko
I see what you mean. He's a evil D U M M Y.

Bowman ultimately tried to blame Betty for 'fraudulently' buying the colchicine under his name.

I was wondering same. Any ideas?

The Daily Mail article I just posted (see above post) may explain his need for a little Viagra help. Open marriage, had a girlfriend he was infatuated with, intended to be very busy in meeting all those women on the online dating site. Had a lot of plans for extra activities in the future in the bedroom. All MOO

I see. Thank you. That makes a little more sense.

It’s not difficult to get ED medications these days - there are a ton of online-only providers that advertise heavily, especially to young men. I don’t think this prescription is remotely relevant. The idea that only men 50+ have ED or take ED meds is outdated by at least a decade.

Among the previously undisclosed revelations was that using the email address bowman.connor@mayo.edu, he bought two drugs from an online wholesaler. The first purchase on Aug. 3 was for $15.20 for an erectile dysfunction drug, while the second was on Aug. 11 for $52.20 to buy the drug colchicine, the drug used to treat gout that investigators believe Connor Bowman used to poison his wife.

Connor Bowman then allegedly contacted the drug wholesaler after the purchase to ask they delete his account information because he claimed his wife had bought colchicine “under his name fraudulently,” the warrant said....

[...]

On Aug. 5, Connor Bowman allegedly searched “Internet browsing history: can it be used in court?,” “police track package delivery,” and “delete Amazon history police.” On Aug. 10, he searched “food v. industrial grade sodium nitrate.” He also looked up a journal used by several medical professionals to search the lethality of substances, the affidavit states. He converted his wife’s weight to kilograms and multiplied it by 0.8, which is considered the lethal dosage for colchicine, investigators wrote.

In the days that followed, Connor Bowman searched how to buy colchicine and allegedly bought gift cards to a website that sells the drug, police said.

There's a vast amount of evidence to show it was a premeditated murder. In January 2024, the Grand Jury Indictment changed the charges to 1st degree Murder.

How could a person who is educated enough to become a pharmacist be so .... not very smart? What disgusting evil man he is.
IMO this man has a severe personality disorder. No one can diagnose from a distance, but seeing as he has no remorse for what he did, able to plan it out etc, he's most likely a sociopath. Thinks he's the smartest person in the room. This type of criminal never seems to consider that LE has resources we can't imagine, they have combined hundreds of years experience, and no doubt have pretty much seen it all. I think of Bryan Kohberger and the >135 LE officers from the county deputies to the FBI that worked the Idaho 4 case, he didn't stand a chance.

How STUPID are these people and their internet searches!! Lol!!!

It can be used recreationally. And there are patients under 30 with ED.

That's true, but ED is almost unheard of in men that age who do not have spinal cord injuries or substance use disorders, of almost any kind.

One of the first people I ever dispensed it to was a guy in his late 20s who was paying cash for two tablets, and his first question was, "So, can I drink with that?" I told him, "It probably won't work if you do." I was later asked, "Why do you always put a 'no alcohol' sticker on Viagra?" and I replied, "Renders it useless." This young woman who'd maybe kissed a boy or two replied, "Oh, yeah."

That is true, and it also has street value.

I know this will probably get mod-deleted, but I'm going to say it anyway. Earlier in this thread, I mentioned something he was apparently notorious for doing that hadn't gotten into the mainstream press, and it's this: Part of his shtick that people didn't find as amusing as he did was that he thought it was really funny to aggressively hit on straight men.

I'm sorry, but what an idiot! I'm heartbroken for his murdered wife and her family.
