MO MO - Nevada, WhtMale 26-36, UP8023, skeletal, .38 caliber slug, Jan'00

Another good find, HoustonMom.

Mark Twain National Forest, where Garman was last seen, is about two hours from where the UID was found: https://goo.gl/maps/e5mkR

It seems odd that they would shoot him in the forest and then take him that far away to dump him, but the gunshot in the face sure makes it look like a match.

Did you ever submit Lawrence Wells?

No, feel free to submit for me.

Does anyone know the history of this John Doe? Still Seek Answers has been speaking to Cheryl Ann Kenney's son. He said that it went from young female to inconclusive to male & that they supposedly were able to get DNA on the 3rd or 4th testing. He said that where they were found in Vernon County is less than 5 miles from his mothers place of work. He posted an overlay (below) that shows how close they come together. So I'm curious if anyone knows the details

Bumping... No news in 2 years?

I had never heard of this case. I lived in Nevada, MO in the late 1970s. Do we know where (map?) exactly this person was found? Thanks

Sounds to me like they don't want to release the exact location. I am familiar with that area and I have some ideas of where he could have been found. It's so rural though that there's really no telling. But if he traveled up and down 71 like they suggested, I would believe it would be near the exits of 54 or K/Business 71, going east. But that's just a guess on my part.

I know someone that lives out there who has had someone's belongings show up on their property hidden within some trees. It included a wheelchair, backpack, medication (prescription only, but no name on it) and other random things. It was clear that someone had been spending the night out there... someone probably female (I think the backpack was pink and there were also feminine products out there). It was reported to the police but nothing ever came of it. I think they still have the wheelchair on their property! I'm not sure when that happened... I'll let you know if I find out. I'm asking.

His NAMUS record shows as being updated not even an hour ago, so that is very encouraging.

It would be awesome to get this guy identified. People I love very much live close to that area and if there is a dangerous individual about, I would want that person to be caught as soon as possible.

Did they ever give description of clothes found?

This is odd. Here's the current ruleouts list:

The following people have been ruled out as being this decedent:

First Name Last Name Year of Birth State LKA

Anthony Allen 1962 Arkansas
Steve Arrowood 1956 North Carolina
Ronnie Bolin 1962 Missouri
Gary Brumley 1948 Missouri
Clay Foreman 1979 Missouri
Maxwell Grahm 1950 South Carolina
James Morris 1944 Kentucky
Richard Rounsaville 1958 Oklahoma
Billy Storkson 1965 Oklahoma
Jackie Urich 1960 Oklahoma
Robert Weems 1967 Alabama

But Steve Alyea was on the list when I posted it in 2014. He seems to have been removed. His Namus page is still accessible, so I don't think he's been located, but it seems odd.

(aside: this is why I post the ruleouts lists...)

I think David Lamb should be checked out.

Did they ever give description of clothes found?

Not according to NAMUS or this link. But they did say clothes were found and they have enough to identify what he was wearing. I would think since it was 16 years ago, though, that it wouldn't hurt to release that info...

That is really interesting! I wonder if something came up in the Alyea case that means the DNA or dental work wasn't accurate.

Adding to the info I posted yesterday. The wheelchair and other belongings were discovered in 2015.
