Wow! Those pics are amazing! But I do personally doubt the "leaving" scenario. He was finishing up his masters, first of all. Secondly, I know the area and I just believe that the frat brother lying and the area he was headed to....something happened to him and the frat brother(s) know. His mother's own intuition tells her the same. Now, the phone being left in the bathroom is puzzling for sure but it could be coincidence. For me, knowing the area as I do those other factors far outweigh the phone being left on the bathroom sink.

I don't know how long these remains have been in the pond and I know it's a longshot after all this time, but I couldn't help but think of Lester. This pond is definitely within the proximity of the gas station where he left his phone. I drive past these ponds on a regular basis. They are very near the Pearl river backwaters and are indeed gator infested waters. Lester was the first person I thought of when I heard this sad news. There are so many missing that this could be, however, so for now we will wait and see what forensics reveals.
