Muslims attack "gay" model in Amsterdam!

If Christians are such peaceful loving people then why is there so much upheaval and fighting in Christian countries at this time - and all throughout their past?

You can't find any religion where their countries tend to be peaceful, Buddhist, Muslim, nor Christian. It is what it is. The Christian Europe was in constant war throughout it's history, one country taking over another, not to mention the Crusades when they got bored of attacking each other.

There are peaceful Muslim countries, and ones with a great deal of strife. Same goes for Christian countries. If you want to see something tragic - take a look at the list of countries using children as soldiers in their current fighting. Guess what religion a bunch of those countries follow - most, or close to most of them? Brundi - Roman Catholics. CAR, about 60% christian variants - and so on and so forth - Rwanda, one of the worst, almost 95% christian. Some mostly muslim countries there too - Sierra Leone, for one of the standouts. Or Burma, if you want to read about a Buddhist country using inhumane methods and children as soldiers.

If you took every bad thing about Christianity, quoted and read quotes only of things like: as examples of what Christian countries are like - it'd be easy to say the Christian religion is the problem too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Child_soldiers#Africa

The problem is that not everyone who calls themselves "Christian" has an intimate relationship with God. Calling yourself Christian no more makes you one then going into your garage makes you a car. Just as you don't like lumping all Muslims into groups you shouldn't lump all Christians into groups.

The Christians that I fellowship with know that the bible says "Thou shalt not kill" and they take that seriously. So even though America is called a Christian country doesn't mean that every so called "Christian" has a personal relationship with God.

Nobody here is going to change their opinions, this much is clear.

But, fyi:

(is it biased towards the west and Israel? Definitely. But, click through for some pretty good information on the Middle East and the state of affairs)

Also, FYI, I'm a proud jingoist and hopefully can remain that way (time will tell):

Jingoism is defined in the Oxford English Dictionary as "extreme patriotism in the form of aggressive foreign policy".[1] In practice, it refers to the advocation of the use of threats of or actual force against other countries in order to safeguard what they perceive as their country's national interests, and colloquially to excessive bias in judging one's own country as superior to others.
