Found Deceased NH - Jacob Marsden, 23, Kensington, 24 July 2017

This is very close to me as well.

"We are aware of the body recovered in Hampton Harbor yesterday afternoon. We are able to unequivocally confirm this is not connected in any way to Jacob Marsden." from the Kensington Police FB page.

KENSINGTON — Jacob Marsden’s family is expected to make a statement to the public about their missing son at a 4:45 p.m. press conference Monday at the Kensington police station.

“His mom wants to address Jacob, and the family has put together a cash reward they are going to offer for some information,” Police Chief Scott Sanders said.

Sanders said the press conference will give Marsden’s mother an opportunity to send a message to her 23-year-old son, who has been missing since last week.
The chief said police also have some “very minimal new information to share about the investigation,” that could help the public.

A surveillance image shows Jacob Marsden at the Home Depot in Seabrook about 20 mins before his phone was turned off.

Has there been info on what he purchased at Home Depot?

the only thing I could find on the purchase is this quote:

Marsden's car was found on the side of the road near a local trail head in Seabrook 30 minutes after it was recorded missing. His purchase from the store and the contents of the car indicate that he may have not gone far.

I'm at a loss to come up with examples of items purchased or left in a car that indicate that someone "may not have gone far".

I hate to post this, but: Rope. (Speculation only)

I think, IMO, and I hate to write, something he might have ingested.

But if he didn't go far, wouldn't they be able to find him?

You would think so, but I have read so many cases where people were later found only yards from their vehicle months or years after the car was found. And often in an area already searched. Lindsey Piccone comes to mind as one example.

I believe there was another case this year. A young man that wasn't far from his car and not found till later.

KENSINGTON — After Jacob Marsden’s mother pleaded for him to come home during a press conference earlier in the week, Kensington Police Chief Scott Sanders said Thursday he had no updated information regarding the missing 23-year-old.

Currently, an active search has been suspended and the police department is working from tips. “We have received a very small number of tips that either haven’t panned out or we were able to immediately rule out as being relevant,” Sanders said.
Marsden’s white Jeep Cherokee was located by the Seabrook Police Department on July 25 in the area of Route 286 and the Massachusetts state line. The vehicle was unoccupied and found adjacent to a heavily wooded area.

According to Seabrook Deputy Police Chief Brett Walker, Seabrook police began searching the area around the Old Fire Barn where they believed Marsden may have been. The search also included the land along South Main Street by the state line with Salisbury. Police dogs and a Massachusetts State Police helicopter were utilized in the search.

Seabrook police stopped their search on Wednesday, July 26.
“In the last six days, our agency and several other local agencies have put forth an effort to locate Mr. Marsden as we are worried for his safety and well-being,” Sanders said Monday.

Sanders said before leaving his house on July 24, Marsden made a statement that he may possibly hurt himself.
“We don’t believe at this time there is any reason to suspect foul play, or that there is any concern for any members of the public,” Sanders said. “We are just desperately looking for help to try and find Jacob.”

BBM :(

Sadly, Jacob was found deceased.

"A 23-year-old local man missing since July 24 was discovered deceased in Salisbury, Massachusetts on Saturday, police announced. His death is not considered suspicious.

Kensington Police Chief Scott Sanders said Jacob Marsden was found by members of the New England K-9 Search and Rescue in a wooded area in Salisbury, not far from the Seabrook town line.

An autopsy will be conducted by officials in Massachusetts in the coming days to determine the cause of death, he said. Marsden’s family has asked for privacy."
