To be 100% clear, Baden, the guy that Mario Balucci will be calling to the stand, is NOT the ME who did the autopsy on Corey.
I believe the Defense will call both Dr. Baden and Dr. Ragusa.

From my link: NJ v. Christopher Gregor: Treadmill Abuse Murder Trial
Dr. Dante Ragusa, an Ocean County medical examiner who performed an April 3 autopsy on Corey’s body, issued a finding on the cause of death: Blunt force injuries with cardiac and liver contusions with acute inflammation and sepsis.

The ME that did the autopsy listed blunt force injuries, inflammation and sepsis under cause of death. I think the autopsy will be introduced as evidence or he will testify as an expert witness.

My point is that a very sick child needed to be transported via ambulance and the mother refused. Hours later the child was dead and among the cause of death was traumatic injuries, inflammation and sepsis.

Dr. Dante Ragusa, an Ocean County medical examiner who performed an April 3 autopsy on Corey’s body, issued a finding on the cause of death: Blunt force injuries with cardiac and liver contusions with acute inflammation and sepsis.

Dr. Thomas Andrew believes Corey suffered an acute traumatic injury to the heart 4-12 hours before his death.

Without supporting medical records we don't know that the child was very sick and needed transport. All we have is a defense attorney claiming in opening statements that was the case.

What we do know is that this mother was claiming for months prior to death that she thought her son's father was abusing him. What we do know is that Christopher was aware of her claims and was not at all happy about his child's mother and her claims that he was abusing their son. What we do know is the father is on video in the weeks previous to death, abusing his son by forcing him to run on a treadmill. What we do know is that the father is charged with a crime and the mother is not.

I don't foresee either of us changing the other's mind on this one so I think we will have to see what the jury decides once they've seen all the evidence.

Defense also tried to paint CG's parents as being tortured by Corey's family putting up posters. WRONG choice of words IMO.

And he is bring in the big guns to debate the medical findings. So, CG's family is not sparing any expenses....

Michael Baden

Really disappointed in MB. Shame on him! I supposed "everyone has their price." Used to like him and respect his opinion. That is no longer the case. I guess I should wait to see what he says, but apparently he's going to support the one holding the paycheck. moo

About this text sent from Christopher's phone:

4/1/21
5:17pm to Marc of DCPP
Hey I can't get off work tomorrow I just asked my manager so I can go next week. Just let me know the number to call to reschedule.

====================
Is this Christopher canceling the noon appointment scheduled for 4/2 to have Corey evaluated? Cuz if I were a juror I'd be like wait why he LYING since we know full well he did NOT go to work at all on 4/2.

I won't elaborate on what I think Christopher WAS doing in the morning /afternoon 4/2, but I think many of you know what I think.

I think Dr. Baden is going to support the ME's autopsy findings as to Cause of Death.

BBM. The mother testified the hospital said the child needed ambulance transport and she turned it down.

  • Dr. Ye Kyaw Aung, who evaluated Corey the night of April 1, 2021, testified that aside from some bruises and scratches which varied by degree and age, Corey appeared to be in good health when he was discharged from Jersey Shore University Medical Center just after midnight on April 2, 2021, with no signs of infection or sepsis.

  • Gallucci told jurors Corey Micciolo died of natural causes, citing defense expert witness Michael Baden, M.D.

the mother took him to a Dr. Dr. said take him to hospital because he may have been abused. She took him to a hospital. They didn't have a Dr. with the expertise in abuse she was told to seek out. that hospital then made her sign an AMA because he left without treatment and minimal examination. Hospital offered to have him transported to the other hospital, she declined. She went immediately to Jersey Shore hospital where a child abuse pediatrician was available. he was evaluated, xrays blood testing and RELEASED and MEDICALLY CLEARED by them. NO sepsis diagnosis. Where is the sick little boy in all this?

BTW please watch mom's testimony again she never said Community Hospital said he NEEDED transport she said they "wanted" to transport him by ambulance and they never told her why they "wanted" that. see defense exhibit E7 and D8

I look forward to the testimony from the Community Hospital that wanted an ambulance to transport Corey.

Brilliant observation I think. Can you imagine if the dog could speak?

That apartment complex gym had windows. You could see people walking outside. What would have happened if someone had been watching Christopher picking up Corey and biting his head? (I wish someone had!).... he felt so emboldened and almost invincible, to do this in PUBLIC.

You can't convince me things were safe for Corey behind locked doors.

Wait. Corey got back to the apartments at 9am on 4/2. NO walk for the dog during the morning OR afternoon??? Where does it pee? My mom has a Maltese and that little pup gets 3 walks before 4pm, minimum!
There are so many overtones shared with the Watts baby annihilation. Watts left the family dog, who disliked the man, left him crated for 7 weeks from 10pm to 5 am each night, roughly, then again all day with 2 brief windows for urination/defecation. He was spending nights with a woman from the office, leaving the dog alone while the family was away.

Other similarities, the sheer meanness towards children, the inexplicable violence towards their bodies, to the point of (Watts) shoving their warm bodies into crude oil tanks, and the violence we saw from this current defendant on the treadmill, the bruises and wounds under CG's care, and, of course the blaming of the children's mother as we are dealing with here.

I think that's why these 2 cases I will never forget. The sheer violence from confessed Watts and alleged from this 200 pound treadmill man.

Oh, and the role of the respective families bashing the victims.

Imo

The def atty also claimed, in court, that the man picked up Corey 6 times when he fell off the treadmill.

As we know, that was just a lie, and atty's are generally "officers of the court".

march 25 936 pm google search: will red marks turn into bruises?

April 2 3:08 pm websearch: lost conscious sleepy and nauseous

in addition, the very day Corey died Chris called the CPP hotline to preemptively report that his son's mother might be reporting him for abuse. Corey was dropped off around 9:00 am. That hotline call was made at 10:04am

Corey was dead by 5pm.

Oh. So it was right after she dropped him off. Poor kid didn't have a chance.

It’s disgusting that some posters here think the mother should also be charged. Gannon Stauch’s father was off-limits. Lindsay Clancy’s husband is off-limits. But when the child is indisputably harmed by the father, suddenly the mother is fair game too. Here, there is literal video evidence of abuse. And yet there’s still someone saying “yes, I understand the video but what about the mother?” Appalling.

I think those posters buy into the dad blaming the mother. Gregor has no explanation so mom is scape goat. Gregor was crying over phone hysterical, not the mother.

Mother actually tried to prevent his abuse and death.

Jury will sort it out.....2 Cents

-Christopher Gregor, NJ dad accused in son’s treadmill death, tried to blame boy’s mother

Corey’s mother, Breanna Micciolo, testified Monday that she was so concerned over the bruising she saw in her son in March that she filed an emergent appeal in family court for sole custody. That request was denied on April 1.

But it was during that process, when she took Corey to see a child abuse specialist, that she learned of an incident on a treadmill between Corey and his father.

I can’t fathom that monster was a good pet owner, probably didn’t take the dog out then punished him for peeing in the house!

Probably afraid they would charge for the ambulance. This is a Mother living paycheck to paycheck with no PHD in hospital fees.

What does it matter how she took the child there?

She took him there HERSELF.

Refusing the services of an ambulance when they are saying that there is no critical emergency is of no importance. She followed their advice. She took her child where they wanted him to go.
