I read upthread that his career was in accounting/auditing but was recently working as a caretaker at the retirement community. All that seems pretty dang normal for a 64yo grandpa.

I am awaiting more details about him before coming up with a theory. (I'm still too stunned to think straight anyway.)

Well law enforcement determined where the shooting was coming from, ran up there, blew open the door, engaged in gun fire with the suspect who then killed himself and no one else was found in the room. So, no.

They didn't engage with him at all, he was already dead.

Dramatic audio has been released of the moment police carried out an explosion to enter a hotel room where they found the Las Vegas gunman dead.

It could be possible that some one else did this. A new type of terrorists attack. That man could have been a hostage himself. Others, or another, could have killed him, and done the shooting.
It would throw everyone off the real gunman's tracks after the fact.
This whole thing looks suspicious and I don't even care what race this Stephen guy is.
To me there is just something suspicious about him being the guilty one.
Maybe it's just denial, but it's also a good theory if there is a new type of terrorist in town.
Who wants to believe that a white grandpa, shot up over 500 people?
Everyone immediately thinks muslim islamic terrorists. Or some young guy who is on anti-everything prescription drugs who cracked. But an old man? During a country music concert?

Looking at the point when the gunfire started, it was when the song "When she says baby" came on. Lyrics reveal a man being calmed by a woman.. makes me wonder if a relationship caused the shooter to snap.

Interesting, the DM article says he used her card to check into the hotel. I wonder if she worked there? Did he use it to get a discount on the room?

Her now deleted Facebook page identified her as a 'proud mom and grandma who lives life to the fullest.'

Danley had described herself on her LinkedIn page as a 'gambling and casino professional' living in Reno, Nevada. That social media page also listed her as working as a 'high limit hostess' at Club Paradise, Atlantis Casino in Reno between 2010 and 2013, but does not list another job since that year.

It's not the size, you can turn a semi into a fully automatic. He had 10 in his room. If you turn a semi into a full, they don't normally last long hence the need for other altered firearms. Some semis are not all that large. He definitely planned this. The only thing he didn't plan was the smoke setting off the fire alarm. When the fire alarm went off it alerted LE to which room he was in. This guy breaks it down pretty good into what he may or may not have had. If someone has already posted, I'm just catching up, please forgive.

I was looking into the rooms at Mandalay Bay and came by some odd shaped rooms called Vista Suites. I decided to search them in google and "Mandalay Bay Vista Suite floor plan" was one of the search options lol.. Kinda odd

These Suites look to be on the 31, 32 and 33 floor. Expensive looking rooms. In most descriptions I find on this suit they talk about the 360 view a lot

Graphic video here. Beware. I can't believe how many people are standing up during this. Even flipping off the shooter (or at the direction of the shooter). I mean the video shows some people have been shot in that area so it's not like they're too far away to be worried.
