LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A woman has been reported missing, and a woman identified as her friend was arrested.

Marayna Rodgers, 23, was last seen on Dec. 6, according to loved ones. Sakari Harnden, 19, faces a first-degree kidnapping charge in connection with the disappearance of Rodgers. As of Friday evening, she remained in a downtown Las Vegas jail on $500,000 bail.

A criminal complaint for the kidnapping charge Harnden faces stated she held or detained Rodgers against her will and without her consent for the purpose of killing her and/or inflicting bodily harm.

Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Diana Sullivan set Harnden’s bail at $500,000 on Dec. 14, according to court records. Conditions included high-level electronic monitoring. It also noted for the “State to notify the Court immediately if the alleged victim is located alive.”

Two people have been arrested and will face murder charges in connection with the disappearance of a woman whose remains were found in a desert area in Henderson, police announced Sunday.

After Marayna Rodgers was reported missing on Dec. 7, detectives suspected early in the investigation that foul play was involved in Rodgers’ disappearance, the Metropolitan Police Department said in a news release Sunday.

Sarkari Harnden, 19, and her boyfriend, Change Comanche, 27, have both been taken into custody.

Comanche was taken instody custody in Sacramento, while Harnden was arrested in Las Vegas.

The 27-year-old, who played for the Stockton Kings before he was releasedfollowing his arrest, is suspected in the disappearance of 23-year-old Marayna Rodgers. She was last seen in Las Vegas on Dec. 6. The Kings played in Henderson, Nevada the night before, which is about 20 minutes from Vegas.

Sakari Harnden, 19, also was charged with first-degree kidnapping in the case.

According to Murphy, Rodgers had been in Las Vegas on a trip with friends. Per that report, "Loved ones told the 8 News Now Investigators that Rodgers had a good job and she would never leave her family back home in Washington state or abandon her dogs she had taken with her to Las Vegas."

The complaint against Harnden alleges that she "held or detained Rodgers against her will and without her consent for the purpose of killing her and/or inflicting bodily harm."

FBI agents reportedly participated in the arrest of Chance Comanche.

Chance Comanche, who had been playing in the NBA’s G League, was placed in jail Friday on a felony charge without bail.

According to online records from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, Comanche was booked under a section of California penal code related the arrest of people wanted on charges originating outside the state.

He says both he and Maryana went down to Las Vegas for vacation. He says the last time he saw her was Dec. 6 when he was dropping her off with a friend. He says that the friend Maryana was hanging out with was Sakari.

“This is a person that looked me in my eye when I was dropping Maryana off saying, ‘I’ll make sure she’s alright,’” Comer said.

Comer also tells KIRO 7 that Rodgers took Harnden in several years ago.

In a separate case, also in Las Vegas Justice Court, Harnden faced a theft charge. She was accused of stealing at least one Rolex, according to a criminal complaint. The theft charge appeared to be unrelated to the kidnapping case.

Harnden declined an interview with 8 News Now Investigators. She is represented by a public defender, records showed. A preliminary hearing for the kidnapping charge is scheduled for Dec. 28. A status check for the theft charge is scheduled for Dec. 19.

I suspected that the initial "planned meetup" was done under the guise of the victim being paid for sex. I couldn't share this suspicion because it wasn't victim friendly, but it has been confirmed in MSM.

I'm still confused about the motive, but the Rolex seems to be a part of it: Harden stated that the victim would "smoke her" if not given a Rolex. Was the Rolex initially stolen from Marayna? Was she murdered to try to prevent her from going to LE about the theft?
