GUILTY NV - Tammy Meyers, 44, fatally shot at her Las Vegas home, 12 Feb 2015 - #8

The only car chase any witness testified to was the chase initiated by Tammy Meyers. The driver of the car who would have done any of the chasing isn't even getting M2. That there are two different pleas for the unarmed driver and the armed passenger shows that it isn't as simple as you portray it as otherwise they'd both be getting the same M2 deal as equal components of the driving and the shooting. What did Nowsch in was the multiple shots at the house with the emptying and reloading could get him M1 irrespective of anything else, not Andrews driving and as such is reflected in their different pleas.

Meyers was in a green Buick Park Avenue with her son, Brandon Meyers. She approached from behind and followed as Andrews drove away, said David Stanton, the prosecutor.

Police said Nowsch was in the passenger seat of Andrews’ car with a Ruger .45-caliber handgun. He fired at least five shots at the Buick before Meyers drove away, authorities said, and Andrews and Nowsch then gave chase.

In my opinion it doesn't matter if Meyers followed Nowsch and Andrews first.

What matters is Andrews and Nowsch followed the Meyers home and attacked them which resulted in Tammy Meyer's death. That's why the two plead guilty. They had no realistic defense.

I'm discussing the chase - or lack thereof - as it relates to the two different pleas by Nowsch and Andrews as Nowsch and Andrews were not in the same legal position and took separate plea charges. Neither Brandon Meyers nor Nowsch to either the police or to KK when he thought he shot at gang members said that Andrews subsequently chased the car. Andrews had a far more solid defense against M1 than Nowsch and as such is getting a lesser sentence even though he would have been the one doing the chasing, if there had been chasing. The chase by the Meyers is relevant to the extent that it reveals the positions of the cars with the Andrews cars in front of the Meyers car by virtue of being the chasee, in no position to chase anyone and is backed up by Brandon Meyers that they weren't chased. If Andrews had pulled into full speed reverse or did a U-turn to chase the Meyers he would have been in a less defensible position, but Andrews didn't chase, so that's why he gets VM instead of M2.

Tammy Meyers’ Alleged ‘Road Rage’ Killer Withdraws Guilty Plea at Sentencing

"by 2Paragraphs in Culture | June 30, 2016"

"On March 4, 2016, 20-year-old Erich Nowsch pleaded guilty to second-degree murder with the use of a deadly weapon and assault with a deadly weapon in the case of Tammy Meyers. But on April 21, 2016, the day of his sentencing, Nowsch's attorneys said their client wanted to withdraw his guilty plea. In court, they said a motion to withdraw was sent via mail but it didn’t make it to the court before the sentencing. Nowsch claimed “ineffective counsel” for the motion and his sentencing was postponed. ABC 20/20, which airs Fridays at 10pm, will reinvestigate the murder case on July 1."

So does this mean there might be a trial?

Suspect in Tammy Meyers murder case again upset with legal team

"In court this morning at the Regional Justice Center, Nowsch took issue with the two attorneys assigned to represent him from the public defender’s office.
"Nowsch asked Judge Michael Vilani for permission to read a letter; however, Vilani said he was concerned it could harm his case. Nowsch was told that he could read the letter in open court next week if his concerns aren’t resolved by that time."

“I can’t even get a phone call back. She promised she’d come in yesterday. She never came in,” said Nowsch in describing growing frustration with public defender Julia Murray.
Along with Murray, Nowsch is being represented by public defender Curtis Brown."

Well if he is unhappy with his legal team he can demand a refund from them, LOL

The Las Vegas man accused of fatally shooting a mother of four in an incident first classified by police as a "road rage" case was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole Thursday...

Nowsch had pleaded guilty to fatally shooting Tammy Meyers, 44, in front of their home on Feb. 12, 2015, but later tried unsuccessfully to withdraw the plea...

Derrick Andrews, 28, who drove Nowsch the night of the shooting, pleaded guilty to one count each of voluntary manslaughter and accessory to commit murder and was sentenced to between 5 and 15 years in prison.

I just found the Nowsch sentencing video. He is one scary dude. I wonder how long it took to calm him down after someone finally told him "NO!" and there was nothing he could do about it - I picture an exorcism scene from a movie.

Interesting that both defendants were sent to the same clink. (High Desert State Prison - ID picture looks like they finally made him wash his hair...)
