NY - Ted Ammon, 52, murdered in his East Hampton home, 20 Oct 2001

Wow! I feel for those people. I couldn't imagine discovering the beaten body of anyone in their home.

I wonder just how much the ex-Mrs. Ammon knew??????

Does anyone find it interesting that the partner assumed it was a crime scene but then took the cell phone.. that is rather interesting.

PELOSI TRIAL TESTIMONY FOCUSES ON FINGERPRINTS

by Robin Topping

The prosecution in the Daniel Pelosi murder trial has shown the jury a crime scene video, dozens of photographs and exhibits, and yesterday offered police testimony on almost two dozen fingerprints taken from the East Hampton mansion where Theodore Ammon was killed in October 2001.

But while Daniel Pelosi's prints were found in four locations in that home, there were none in the master bedroom where Ammon was beaten to death. The other identified prints came from family members who had lived in the house, along with Pelosi, including Generosa Ammon, Ammon's widow and Pelosi's then-girlfriend, and the Ammons' two children. Prints were also matched to Ammon himself, and an East Hampton police sergeant who was one of the first on the scene, said Suffolk Det. Anthony Piazza, who processed the prints and testified in Riverhead yesterday....

PLAY SLAY HOUSE

by Kieran Crowley

Danny Pelosi's prosecutors are using a large-scale model "dollhouse" to illustrate the upper floor of Ted Ammon's $10 million East Hampton mansion, where the investment banker was beaten to death.

Yesterday, the jury of nine women and three men crowded around the 9-foot-long, 4-foot-wide exhibit — complete with petite furniture, tiny artworks and reproductions of Ammon's crumpled blue jeans and shoes.

Inside the master bedroom is a chalk-white silhouette showing the location of the bludgeoned victim, who was found nude and curled on his right side beside a skewed mattress....

ALARM INSTALLER OFFERS SYSTEM DETAILS AT PELOSI TRIAL

by Samuel Bruchey

One day after Theodore Ammon's body was discovered on his bedroom floor, John Kundle was instructed by homicide investigators to drive to the sprawling East Hampton home and tell them about the elaborate alarm and surveillance system he had installed.

For more than four hours on that day, Oct. 23, 2001, Kundle, who owns a security systems business in Massapequa, answered questions about the eight hidden cameras the size of pin heads, and a computer hard drive that recorded everything, tucked under the eaves on the second floor where no one could find it....

DANNY KNEW VID SECRETS: WITNESS

by Kieran Crowley

Danny Pelosi was one of only a handful of people who knew how to operate a secret video surveillance system that spied on millionaire Ted Ammon — which was unplugged at the time of his murder, a prosecution witness testified yesterday.
In her opening statement, Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney Janet Albertson said the killer "thought he was being very smart . . . but he forgot to plug [the system] back in" after the bludgeoning murder, which occurred three years ago today.

Alarm-company owner John Kundle took the stand in a Riverhead courtroom and said Pelosi had intimate knowledge of the video security system....

PELOSI KNEW VIDEO SYSTEM IN MANSION, WITNESS SAYS

By PATRICK HEALY

RIVERHEAD, N.Y., Oct. 20 - The murder case against Daniel J. Pelosi, the Long Island electrician accused of murdering the Manhattan financier R. Theodore Ammon, swerved in two different directions on Wednesday, in two towns 850 miles apart.

In a fourth-floor courtroom here, the owner of a security company testified that Mr. Pelosi was one of the few people who knew how to operate and shut off a video security system that had been installed in the East Hampton mansion where Mr. Ammon was found beaten to death in October 2001....

SON BURNED IN COURT

by Kieran Crowley

Danny Pelosi's father took the witness stand to testify against him yesterday in an explosive and dramatic courtroom exchange that ended with Robert Pelosi Sr. telling his son, "I love you" — and Danny snarling "I hate him!"

The elder Pelosi, a retired bank vice president from Center Moriches, was called to the stand by Suffolk prosecutor Janet Albertson, as Danny Pelosi sat stone-faced at the defense table.

The father of the man charged with murdering millionaire Ted Ammon testified that on Oct. 21, 2001, the day of Ammon's murder — but before the body was discovered — he was at a family wedding and his son Danny asked him a puzzling question.

"He asked me that if someone wanted to get rid of something, what could you do?" ...

WITNESS: PELOSI TALKED OF KILLING AMMON
Says defendant wanted victim's money, vowed to 'bash his brains out'

Complete coverage of the Pelosi trial

BY ROBIN TOPPING
STAFF WRITER

October 26, 2004

After three hours of drinking and trading stories, Daniel Pelosi -- broke and on the verge of divorce -- revealed his plan for the future to James Nicolino as they walked to their cars outside a Suffolk bar, Nicolino testified Monday.

As Nicolino remembered it, Pelosi took a deep drag on a cigarette and said "he was going to leave his wife, marry Generosa, get the money, and go back to his wife," referring to Generosa Ammon, the woman whose East Hampton mansion they were renovating at the time....

PELOSI 'BASH' & CASH

by Kieran Crowley

A contractor associate of Danny Pelosi testified yesterday that a year before millionaire Ted Ammon was bludgeoned to death, Pelosi drunkenly told him he planned to "bash in his brains" while he slept and marry his widow to get his fortune.
James Nicolino, 45, of East Hampton took the stand in a Riverhead courtroom and said he and Pelosi, who was bankrupt at the time, had been drinking in a Long Island bar when Pelosi revealed his scheme in the parking lot....

EX-BUDDY PELOSI DETAILS PLOT

BY ROBERT GEARTY and BILL HUTCHINSON
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITERS

A year before Ted Ammon was slain in his Hamptons mansion, Danny Pelosi devised a sinister plan to woo the Wall Street mogul's estranged wife and take his fortune by "bashing his brains in," a witness testified yesterday.

The damning testimony from contractor James Nicolino came as prosecutors painted Ammon's wife, Generosa, as a free spender who felt her husband was cheating her out of money....

ACQUAINTANCE SAYS PELOSI TOLD HIM OF PLAN TO MURDER EAST HAMPTON FINANCIER

By PATRICK HEALY

RIVERHEAD, N.Y., Oct. 25 - A year before R. Theodore Ammon, the Manhattan financier, was beaten to death in his East Hampton mansion, Daniel J. Pelosi told an acquaintance that he planned to kill Mr. Ammon, marry his wife and poach his $80 million fortune, the acquaintance, James Nicolino, testified for the prosecution here Monday.

"He said, 'Well, I'll have to kill Ted; I'll bash his brains in while he's sleeping,' " Mr. Nicolino said in State Supreme Court. "He said, 'I'll make it look like an accident, and then I'll throw his body in the pool.' "

Mr. Pelosi's lawyer, Gerald Shargel, immediately zeroed in on Mr. Nicolino's credibility. He suggested that Mr. Nicolino was testifying because he was bitter after losing a job to Mr. Pelosi and because Mr. Pelosi had had an affair with Mr. Nicolino's wife....

NOT good for Pelosi Lisa!

Wow, I wonder if this guy would have any reason to make this story up or to lie?

Most people don't make things like that up unless there is a reason like revenge.
